Plus size woman here. Let’s talk size because that’s always a challenge with swim suit type clothing. Normally, I wear an 18W in pants and shorts from places like Torrid and Lane Bryant. Amazon suggested an order a 4x in this short, and since I wasn’t sure, I went with that. The 4x was very large on me. Now, I could have worn them. They were not falling down or anything but they were clearly too big. Because I want to wear these for swimming, and because I wanted them to fit more like a swimming suit (but not super tight), I returned the 4x and ordered the 2X. They fit really nicely. Just snug enough. I think I probably could have even worn the 1X but I don’t want them too tight. I do carry some weight in my belly and they still fit and over the belly well. Smooth transaction & quick shipping. Fabric is soft and comfortable. Not thick/bulky but not thin/flimsy. I typically don’t like any high waisted shorts or pants that go up to my natural waist but sometimes nice for swim wear. These shorts went all the way up under my bikini swim top (substantial with a 1.5 “ band… think somewhat long bra but not really long) portion that covered my legs was shorter than I liked. These just aren’t what I was looking for so I am returning them. I could see using these in the future for an active water sport (scuba or tubing maybe) but I would want the leg portions longer for my comfort. If you want a smooth comfortable high waisted short w/minimal leg coverage that holds it all in w/o strangulation these are for you. I am 5’5” height and 230 lbs I carry some weight in my belly and have thick thighs and the length stopped short on my thick thighs and didn’t look or feel good for me. Comfortable swim short with convenient pockets. It does not have an underpants, but it is fully lined so not see-through. I prefer an attached brief so I removed one Star for that because it is also difficult to determine when purchasing exactly what you will be getting. Otherwise the length and coverage were exactly what I needed for water activities including rappelling and zip lining. These shorts covered My legs where I wore the harness for Zip lining. I got these for lap swimming, they fit true to size and the material is very comfortable, stretchy but not too stretchy. They did not roll up or down while swimming, which was my main concern. Overall I’m very happy with them, especially for the price. Read more
