These are great board shorts that I have ended up wearing frequently as regular shorts. I love the loose fit through the legs with the tightly fitting but comfortable waist, which is a great silhouette on me. I have worn them swimming a couple of times and while I agree with some reviews that they are less comfortable when wet, I didn’t mind wearing them in the water or walking around in them. My thighs rub when I walk so walking a long distance wet without shorts would not be an option for me and these prevented that from happening. They do dry quickly as well. They have shown no wear despite frequent use and washing, and I would recommend them not only to someone seeking out board shorts but just a friend in normal conversation. My measurements: Waist: 30 inches Height: 5 foot 5 Weight: 145 pounds Pros: 1. Waistband is high and they are overall very loose, which makes them comfortable and flattering if you get bloated or are insecure about your stomach 2. The waistband is stretchy, so it’s very comfortable 3. It has pockets! 4. The color is pretty. It overall doesn’t look fancy, but I think it looks cute enough. It doesn’t look cheap or frumpy, just casual. 5. It has lasted 3 washes so far, I don’t go swimming enough to test it more. 6. There’s an inner lining, so you won’t have any wardrobe malfunctions. The fabric is not see through. Cons: 1. It’s a little wrinkly after you dry it. Nothing crazy though. 2. The length is to about my fingertips. Bought Large grayish blue. They fit great. I'm 5'5" 157 lbs. They come down low enough to hide some cellulite but not too low. They look stylish. The fitting of the fabric in the crotch area is more loose and airy, not tight like other swim shorts I've had that give you camel toe or show ALL your business. Would buy again in another color! Taking into account feedback from other reviews I sized up from my normal small to a medium, and they fit wonderfully. They are comfortable and actually look really high quality. My one complaint is that I ordered a black pair and received a navy blue pair. I considered sending them back, but I actually really like the navy blue color although it does not go with the swim top I wanted to pair them with. I would order another pair in black because I like them so much, but I am concerned I would just end up with another blue pair as the vacuum-sealed package they came in was incorrectly labeled black. I bought these HODOSPORTS swim shorts for a recent trip to Cancun, and let me tell you, I’m emotionally attached to them now. Like, if I could give them their own passport, I would. These shorts are the Swiss Army knife of beachwear. I wore them for early morning runs on the beach, dove straight into the ocean, and then headed right to breakfast like nothing happened. Thanks to the quick-dry magic fabric, I wasn’t dripping all over the buffet line, no soggy waffle incidents here. Let’s talk about the built-in boxer liner. I was skeptical, but wow. It's like wearing comfy athletic shorts underneath your swimsuit...without actually having to wear two layers. No chafing, no wedgies, no awkward adjusting, and sand didn’t stick to weird places. That’s a win. Oh...and the pockets are REAL. Deep enough for my phone, room key, and the mini seashell I was convinced looked like a heart (it didn’t, but that’s not the shorts’ fault). Stylish enough to get compliments, functional enough to chase down beach tacos, and comfortable enough to live in. I am obsessed with these shorts. I went ahead and got a second pair and really considering getting a third LOL they are super high quality. I love how comfortable they are. The colors match the pictures. I got a size L because that’s what I usually wear and it fits very well (a bit loose but that’s how I want it). I could’ve probably gotten an M and it would’ve fit a tiny bit tighter but I’m okay with the L. For reference, I am 5’5” in height and weight 162 pounds. They do dry very fast if they get wet! And they have extra boxer shorts underneath which is super convenient because my thighs tend to rub with shorts in general so this will prevent that. Great value for the price paid. Read more

I bought these shorts to wear at water parks. The constant walking in damp clothing between water slides often produced a rash on my upper thighs. I was hoping that the tighter material around the thighs would prevent this from happening while still providing some modesty for my portly frame. Alas, this was not the case. The tighter material around the thigh loosened once wet and “road up” bunching around my upper thigh, especially in the age pool. The movement of material did not prevent any chafing but instead helped it to progress. The shorts are comfortable when dry, however, their length covering from waist to just above the knee.
