Exactly as my title states! This belt was exactly the thing I was searching for as it gave me the look of a corset but not the feeling of not being able to breath as corsets can sometimes feel. It really made my costume look great for the Steampunk Expo I attended. It was exactly as it was described...lace-up front and a wide Velcro vertical strip in the back. I am 5’5”, 208 lbs with a waist that measured 47”. I ended up getting the 2XL and it fit wonderfully. I was relieved as I was nervous since I always have to try things on before I purchase them.(Unless I own an item already, 98-99% of the time I won’t blindly order off the internet even if I know my measurements. Sometimes even if the measurements match some clothing styles just don’t fit, hang, or look right. Anyway, this was a very comfortable belt to wear. I would highly recommend this for the person who wants the look of a corset and be able to breathe LOL. I received many compliments on it by friends and by strangers that I met at the expo. This is very decent quality for a low price, with a great look! This put the finishing touch on a ladies Pirate costume, and it was terrific looking and comfortable! It didn't look cheap in spite of it being plastic. Good support in the back, and stayed put all night long, even with a lot of dancing! Don't expect the lace up part to cinch in your waist. It's not designed to do that. I bought a size that matched my waist size, so it was snug like I wanted, and with all that thick elastic in the back, it did a great job of giving me an hourglass figure! (Which I remember I used to have years ago!) One added benefit, not advertised, was it also gave me good back support! This corset is cute for a costume but I actually want it for when I'm at my desk and driving. For long driving sessions (road trips of more than 2 hours), I find that a back brace is helpful to keep me from slouching or getting tired. The braces from the pharmacy are overkill for what I need, and they're ugly and annoying to put on (too much Velcro for casual wear). This corset is easy to put on. The band is wide enough for what I need and there's enough support to be a reminder about not slouching while not being breathtakingly tight. I followed the manufacturer's sizing chart and ordered the XL. My waist is about 36.25 right now, so I was worried that L would be too tight. But the XL, while comfortable, wasn't quite snug enough and it stuck out a bit in front. The L fits fine. It is snug, but not tight. The lacing on the front of the corset can be loosened, so that's a help. If you are between sizes, consider if you want to wear this tight or have enough room for a blouse/sweater, or other clothes underneath. I'm wearing it over a T-shirt so I don't have a lot of "padding" between me and the corset. The purple is a nice lavender color. In the photo of the two belts, you can see what the size difference is (unstretched) between the L and the XL. The odd thing that I noticed is that one belt has the snap tops on the left part of the belt, the other has the snap tops on the right. This is probably a quality control issue since otherwise both side pieces of elastic are the same. It doesn't matter to me, but if I had several of these and wore them often, it would be confusing. I loved this vest or half fest. It was really kind of like a large stomach belt. It looks great for a costume. I did a pirate outfit with it. It's easy. The class works well. It has a nice elastic in the back and I'm a pretty curvy plus size girl about a one extra 2x and it fit very well. I'd highly suggest it. Read more

It is not stiff. It stretches well. Great quality, and very comfortable and flattering to wear. I wear this instead of shapewear for waist. I have many colors. Check the size for where you will wear on your body to get correct size. The pu leather quality is top notch. It has 3 good snaps at the back. You can loosen the ties if need be. I recommend this. This can only be worn as part of a costume but, I was expecting something a little better. I waited a long time before ordering and order it to go with two possible halloween costumes. I ordered the wide, I was expeceting the leather looking band to be wider...so I don't know what wide means. The center is 7 1/2 inches top to bottom and the middle is 6 inches wide, the rest is elastic.I ordered the small and my waist is 31''. When it arrived I was on my way out but rushed to try it on out of shock because it looked so tiny. It's a good fit over my jeans , shirt & a belt . I didn't need to move the lace but, there was no room to adjust the velcro in back if needed.The top is tall enough and I'm busty, so I'm ok with that. I guess , I just expected a little more but I should have zoomed in a lot closer to the photo ...I ordered the red and it looks EXACTLY like the picture...it gets 5 stars for that.But it's $8.00 so I can't expect the quality like my waist sincher.
