Good but Held Back on the Switch 2 Hogwarts Legacy is an ambitious game, and on the Switch 2 it delivers a mixed experience. On one hand, the story is engaging, the world of Hogwarts is beautifully realized, and exploring the castle, villages, and magical creatures is a lot of fun. The RPG elements—customizing your character, learning spells, and progressing through the main quest—are handled well and really make you feel like you’re part of the wizarding world. However, this version shows some noticeable drawbacks. While the Switch 2 has better hardware than its predecessor, the game still struggles at times with performance. Frame rate drops, longer load times, and occasional texture issues pull you out of the immersion. The graphics don’t quite measure up to what the game looks like on other platforms, and even though adjustments were made to make it run, it feels like some of the magic gets lost in the process. Gameplay itself is solid, but combat can get repetitive after a while, and exploration, while impressive at first, can start to feel stretched out with filler side quests. It’s still enjoyable, but the pacing could be tighter. Overall, Hogwarts Legacy on the Switch 2 is worth trying if you’re a big fan of the Harry Potter universe and want to play it on the go, but it’s not the best way to experience the game. It has moments of wonder and charm, but technical hiccups and scaled-back visuals keep it from reaching its full potential. Read more
