I was so excited when I saw this that I immediately ordered it without thinking twice. I am drawn to home decorative pieces that are different, unique and artsy. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations for a piece that is priced so high. First off, this leopard side table came packaged with just these 2 pieces. No hardware, no screws, no adhesive, and even worse, no instructions! I tried taking out the gold circular plug on the top of the leopard thinking it pops back on top of the tray to assemble the table, but I've tried everything to try & pop it out, & still, it will not budge. The original photos show that gold circular plug piece on top of the tray, like it keeps the two pieces together. For the price point of just under $238, I expect the table to at least have instructions for assembly no matter how simple it will be. Not to mention, I would have expected the craftsmanship & production of the pieces to be absolutely flawless & high quality. Because I can't figure out how they expect us to put this table together, so I am going to have to take this to a guy I know who welds & makes furniture & pay him to get the tray to be permanently adhered to the leopard's head. In addition, the two pieces are painted with two different shade hues of gold which is a bit disappointing because it does make it look a bit cheap & in my opinion, it's a lack of quality control. The metal tray has a gloss finish/polish & the leopard has a matte/slight semi gloss finish. So needless to say, I'm so disappointed because this piece has so much potential to be worth every penny of the $237 price point. EDIT : My husband was trying to get the top unscrewed & he was able to get it unscrewed, although it was very tight & hard to unscrew. So just note, the top does unscrew, it's just a bit hard to do so. I changed our star rating from 3 Stars to 5 Stars because we were able to get the tray on proper. I added a photo with the tray on. If you asked me if I’d ever have a leopard statue drink/tray holder my answer would have been no with a chuckle. But my wife saw this and desperately wanted it. It’s actually pretty cool! Not huge at all and very light. I like that it’s all one piece other than the tray. The tray on top threads into a hole on the head of the leopard but you could remove the tray altogether and just have a cool statue. I think it was meant for holding drinks but you can see my wife is using it for a plant holder and we put it next to our brick fireplace and it looks pretty awesome. It’s also the perfect height to put next to a couch, chair, or whatever you’re sitting on and use it to set drinks on. Overall I’m surprised that I like it as much as I do 😂.
