It says it's fingerprint/smudge resistant, and so far, mine really does stay looking nicer with less wiping than I expected. • Regular grocery bags are technically oversized for this capacity, but I’ve still been able to use them with a little tucking. It's hard for a product to impress me these days so to find a TRASH CAN that exceeded my expectations was a pretty pleasant surprise. This Home Zone trash can looks great with brushed metal finish, is super sturdy, and easy to use with its rubberized action foot pedal. I didn't expect the decelerated "soft close" action upon releasing the pedal and closing - and its really quite neat, preventing possible chaos where other cans might have the lid slam down instead. Another unspoken feature is if you lift the lid a bit beyond its natural closing angle, it will STAY OPEN, so you can still have an open can to chuck things into when it's time to trash all the things! The rubberized base helps keep it stay put when you are performing your trashing duties. Additionally, the plastic interior is SEPARATABLE from the metal exterior so you don't even really "need" to line it with a plastic bag as you could just take the plastic inside out and dump it into a larger vessel. At the $20 asking price at the time of review, the value for money impresses me even further and despite having too many trash cans that don't work that well populating my home, I'd strongly consider replacing all of them with this trash can that CAN! I got this trash can and put it in my small bathroom to see how it would fit. The 1.3 gallon size is small, so it tucked into the narrow space between the toilet and the wall. I noticed the stainless steel finish looks clean and doesn't show fingerprints every time I touch it. The foot pedal feels responsive and the lid opens wide enough to drop in trash without hitting the sides. I noticed the soft-close feature works as described, so the lid lowers slowly and doesn't make a loud banging noise when it shuts. Inside there is a plastic liner bucket with a metal handle that makes it easy to pull out and empty. The bottom of the can has a non-slip base that prevents it from sliding around on the tile floor when I step on the pedal. Perfect little trash can. It is small but holds more than I expected and fits nicely under my desk. The lid opens and closes smoothly and does a good job keeping smells in. Super easy to clean and does not feel cheap. It looks really nice in my office and the price is great. It’s not heavy but stable. I have been using it daily and it just works without any fuss.
