These lanterns are beautiful. The crackled glass make them almost sparkle at night. I put these in my garden next to my walkway the night I took them out of the box. They were bright and lasted a few hours until I stopped checking on them. ( It was late in the evening) They didnt need to be in sunlight to charge. Right out of the box they worked beautifully. This is my 2nd purchase of these lights. My 1st purchase I bought 4. They worked the exact same way. The reason I ordered 2 more was because 2 fell over and broke on my walkway. As beautiful as they are, the lanterns seem a bit top heavy and not sturdy in my garden. The pole is not substantial enough to hold the lanterns. Even buried deeper in to the ground than my first purchase, they still seem a bit wobbly. I placed them further in my garden edge so if any fell over, they won't break this time. I think maybe if they were put in a lawn with grass they may be more stable than placed in soil with mulch / a garden. The ground in a garden might be too soft. In time, I will look into buying small metal sheppard poles for stability as the poles that come with the lanterns are thin and made of plastic. I love them so much, I am willing to spend a bit more money for sturdier poles for the lanterns. They are worth it. Read more
I am so happy I found these solar lanterns! They are the perfect size and appear to be really nice quality and very sturdy. The color is a soft yellow, but fairly bright. Not too yellow at all, they are perfect as far as I’m concerned! They come with 2 small Shepards hooks which I do not need to use, but my only complaint would be that they are on the cheaper end. They would work if you need them but I can’t say how long they would last. The hooks come in 3 pieces and just slide together, and once together they spin around and don’t stay in one place. After watching some "you can have it if you write a review" I ordered 2 sets. Pros: They light up, not strong as indicated in some reviews. Particularly around sidewalks with additional lighting. The included posts are of decent quality to hang the lights, no worry about them bending. They stay lit for a good while, in this winter type weather/lack of 12 hours of sunlight. Cons: Just aren't overly bright. Bulb covers are glass, making them heavier and possibly leaving a mess should they fall. They will not light more than a couple of feet diameter. Over all I am pleased and will look for them again, when they're on sell. Read more
These are beautiful outdoor pathway lights. We have a total of 7-sets and they’re exactly what we wanted. My only complaint is that the batteries (which store the solar energy) haven’t lasted very long and need to be replaced because the lights don’t shine as bright or nearly as long now (and the oldest set is only about 4-months old. These things I think are hard to purchase online but I have to say a few kind words about these lights. They are made with heavy glass and very sturdy. Comes with directions and small shepards hooks which stand about 15" tall. I wound up using taller hooks i already had because I wanted to cast the light on a greater radius on my pathway, which worked out great ! The directions say to charge it 8 hours but since I installed them later in the day, I was only able to get 2-3 hrs direct sunlight and 2-3 hrs indirect. Either way when I walked out later about 11pm, they were glowing brightly and looked amazing. I'm glad I took the chance and purchased this lights, I feel it was money well spent. Read more
I have ordered these 3 or 4 different times for myself and also bought them for gifts for family. I've had my sets for a couple years. Thru rain, wind & sun, they have continued to work well. Thy give beautiful light and are real crackled glass. Highly recommend. Read more
These are beautiful! They were very easy to assemble. Very sturdy. I’ve never seen pathway lights like these, very unique but timeless. The brightness is not overwhelming though lights the path very well. The glass is etched to appear cracked all around which casts gorgeous light and shadows all around it. Updated review after owning for a few months... could just be part of owning a solar product but we live in Phoenix and the lights would be dim a lot and we’d have to shift them around to get equal exposure to the sun or some end up more dim than others which at some times meant almost no light in one light.
