This is a little loud and more pricey than other options, but totally worth it! I usually wear earbuds and listen to music while I work so it really isn't super noticeable. My feet have always been cold in my office regardless of season, and this has helped so much. It's also a great size to fit under my desk nicely. I usually turn it on the lowest heat setting (since it's close to my feet under my desk) and after about and hour I'm warm enough that I can turn it off. I really like the different timing options and heat levels (e.g., heating to a specific temperature and just low/medium/high heat options). I chose this after a recommendation from a family member who has tried multiple different space heaters for some finicky and easily frozen pipes, and can't be happier! Read more
Love this heater! It is the perfect size for my room, small and not in the way, but puts out an incredible amount of heat! It warms up the room so well that everyone (human and animal) in the house piles into whatever room it is warming up. It's quiet, comfortable to use, and it has a built-in safety feature that turns it off if anything knocks it. On occasion, we have forgotten to turn it off when we leave the house, but we come home to a warm secure space--so peace of mind to boot! Just a great little heater that packs a warm punch. Read more
I find most space heaters very badly designed for bedrooms. Most space heaters with internal thermostats seem to have bright, digital displays that light up your room too much—enough to affect your sleep at night. Then there are the space heaters that don't have internal thermostats. With simple knobs, they don't create enough light to affect your sleep. But with basic settings like low, medium, and high, you never quite know how to set them. So you either wake up in a cold room or one that's absolutely roasting. This space heater seems to have the best of both worlds. It has a thermostat, but the illuminated displays are minimal. It gives you control of your bedroom's temperature without making it look like a night club or something. The only real design flaw it seems to have is that the power button doesn't always turn it off. If you've used the timer function, you have to tun off the timer first and then press the power button to turn off the heater. It's a bit counterintuitive; you would think the power button would kill the power on both the timer and the heater at the same time. But that's a small inconvenience, so it's certainly not a deal-breaker for me. Read more
We have these in each of our bedrooms and honestly, we do not even need to run the main heater because the space gets so hot from these. A really good alternative if you're mostly trying to rely on electricity for a heat source also they have the safety feature so if they tip over, they turn off automatically. Read more
The media could not be loaded. Heats up very well but the ergonomics are not good. The buttons are electronic, and all the settings (temperature, timer) are lost every time it's turned off. At the same time, the unit turns off every time you lift it from the floor (anti tipping mechanism) This means you can only set it up by keeping it on the ground and you kneeling all the way to the side controls. It would be much better if the controls were on the top, had a remote, or if the anti tipping did not reset them. This also means it doesn't work w smart plugs :( Read more
Great heater and very safe. Read more
This heating unit smelled awful out of the box like the worst toxic plastic, and the odor did not go away at all after a coiple of days. Then I put it outside to air out for a couple of hours, but it didn't help. Then I brought it back in and turned it on anyway, but had to turn it off immediately and keep the front door open because the smell that was so bad got even worse when I turned the heater on briefly, and I do not want a potentially cancer-causing atmosphere created in my house! A friend who'd recommended it said he'd had one for years and had no odor problems with it at all, but he said it had a round shape, not rectangular w/curved corners like this one. Read more
