At $99 or less (current price) this is a fine option for a weighted workout vest. Advertised weight is 20lbs, actual weight is 18.4 lbs fully loaded up, that's not terrible, just wanted to point that out. The vest weighs 1.6lbs empty and includes 20 sandbags that weigh .84lbs each (16.8lbs total in sandbags) so once you add the vest + the sandbags it's 18.4lbs total. There certainly are nicer weighted vests that use steel plates instead but those ones are usually twice the price. It's cool that this vest uses 20 little weights so you can really dial in the perfect weight and if you have left over sand bags you can load them up in the included ankle straps. The vest & andkle straps are made very well and should last a long time. Reason for 4 star versus 5. 5 Stars is a perfect product, this is not perfect because the advertised weight is higher than what you actually get. Overally very good product at $99 or less. Read more

For me I bought this to work on arm and leg strength, so I'm actually using the ankle weights for both areas. I have put on the vest just to check for fit and it's good! This is a very easy to configure setup that has some seriously solid construction. This is so much easier to store than a ton of barbells and is less dangerous than resistance bands. Read more
