Not going to go into the technicals, but this monitor looks amazing for the price. Very accurate color, but lacks hdr. Not a huge loss for my needs. Very little backlight bleed, I am beyond satisfied with the quality. I Returned a 32 inch BENQ That was more expensive, I guess it suffered from manufacturing defects. Highly recommend for graphic design, or video editing if you can fit it into your work space. One thing to note: Not sure why this display doesn't seem to be anywhere on the internet at the time of this review. I couldn't find any reviews or media coverage what so ever. I took somewhat of a chance with this order as it doesn't even seem to be available on the HP website (US). It took a few weeks to arrive from New Jersey, fortunately it arrived with no issues. Well worth the purchase. Read more

I use this for drawing Revit architectural 3D models everyday. It's extremely bright and fully controllable with software and monitor drivers making it a very enjoyable display to view my work on. Although I have a couple of brightly lit windows behind me there's absolutely no reflection to distract me, making a 9 hour workday very pleasant and easy compared with previous monitors. I need two monitors in my work environment and although rather large, this has become a heck of a useful tool. I'm very seriously considering a second smaller HP Z32 to complete my perfect workstation setup. Read more

It is not easy on the eyes at native 3840x2160 resolution with default font/pixel scaling. Other settings are even worse. I spent about 6 weeks trying different different video cards, different cables, different ports, different drivers, different ClearType settings and none of them displayed crisp text that I could look at all day. I finally discovered that this monitor is Blue Green Red (BGR) and not Red Green Blue (RGB) like most monitors. This different sub pixel design causes text and some small images to look fuzzy with small color aberrations on the edges. There are some settings in Windows ClearType that attempt to compensate for the BGR sub-pixel design. But it's not perfect, and there are some applications that don't utilize ClearType and still look horrid. The best solution I have found is to build a new stand and rotate the screen 180 degrees (upside down), so the pixel layout is RGB. The text now looks crisp without fringing, but it is still a little fuzzy and soft. The panel and stand are attractive and well made. I wish the monitor was about 1 inch lower though. The angles are adjustable, but the height is not. Another subtle issue is that when I scroll black text, it shifts to a reddish color while it is moving. This occurs with different graphics cards, so I believe could be an issue with the monitor. 3D graphics and video seem to work well, but I'm not a gamer or a movie person. In the end, I would not buy a BGR monitor again. Read more

My previous 40" monitor was curved, where the ends of the monitor are almost the same distance to my eyes as the middle. The downside of that monitor is the mediocre image quality. This new HP has better image quality and it looks very cool from the back, although the front design is dull and the ports are difficult to see. The most striking impression is how distorted it looks compared to the curved monitor. When I'm centered in front of this flat monitor, the middle is 31" away from my eyes but the ends are 37" away. The ends thus look noticeably smaller than the middle, making the monitor look like a wine barrel laid on its side. This is called barrel distortion. The effect is far more pronounced on such a large monitor than the average 27" monitor. I love the image quality of this HP but the barrel distortion due to its sheer size may make me go back to my old curved monitor. Read more

I bought this single monitor to replace dual monitors on my desktop. Although I am very happy with the quality of the monitor, I may have made a bad choice in choosing one large monitor for a desktop. I think a monitor like this would work better for an operations room as maybe a status panel up on a wall. It's just too big to put it on your desk and sit close to it. Read more

I replaced 4 displays with this one monitor with no loss of overall real estate. It's so nice to be able to have all the windows open that I need. Read more

This allows me to see the screen from a distance and not miss anything. Up close is amazing. The vendor responded to a question I had quickly. Glad I bought it. Read more
