*********************** To see the video go to: youtube . com / mpaluba ************************ Update 3/18/13: I bought this for $118 almost 2 months ago. It's now only $90. Get it before the price goes up again! I bought this monitor to accompany my purchase of a Mac Mini (my first Apple product). It came with a VGA in/out cable, but also has a DVI input. Unfortunately for me, the Mac Mini has an HDMI to DVI converter, and no VGA input, so I had to delay my Mac Mini kick off party one day ;) As for the monitor itself, the screen quality is great. For under $120, this is the best deal on Amazon - the only monitor in this price range with built in speakers, which was a must have for me. I didn't expect to get BOSE quality speakers. A lot of reviewers say they are bad, but they are not - they lack in power but I'm satisfied with their clarity & quality. When it comes to the speaker connection to the Mac Mini, I can only control the volume from the Mac Mini desktop - whenever I click the up or down volume button on the monitor, the screen times out & tells me to "Check Video Cable." I'm fine with that, though, because I can still control the volume. Overall, this monitor is very sleek, easy to assemble, and the position of the screen CAN be adjusted (contrary to the review titled "Lacks Tilt"). It serves its purpose well. I love walking into my room & seeing it on my desk. It looks so nice! -I'm very happy that I decided to get this. Buy it for yourself! Read more

This 20 inch monitor is a very good buy for the price range. The screen is bright and produces good colors in all situations (videos, word processing, web browsing, etc.). The construction is sturdy and feels like something that will last. The screen has a satisfying amount of tilt to it, allowing for more than one angle depending on the user's position. I believe it comes with built-in speakers, but I have not tested them, instead using a pair of standard desktop speakers (seriously, if you're expecting great sound from a monitor of any brand you are going to be let down: buy some ten dollar speakers for better sound). It was easy to assemble the stand and it does not feel like it is going to fall. Does a very solid job at playing HD Video content. Overall, this is a very good monitor for the price-range and I would recommend it for those who need a new monitor in the 20 inch range. Also, free shipping from Amazon was very fast, beating the PC I ordered from Walmart via site-to-store by nearly a week, if that's a concern for you. Read more

I bought a pair these to augment my laptop running Windows 7. I don't due anything with my PC that requires a high end monitor so these HP' did the trick. I didn't want any size bigger than 20" since they would take up too much space. FYI: My current setup is to place my open 15" laptop in the center with its screen on and using the laptop's keyboard. Then one monitor is placed on each side of the laptop's screen. Works nice then with 3 screens at 1600 x 900. Another setup is to use Control Panel to shut off the laptop screen and set the laptop to do nothing when the lid is closed. Then close the laptop and put it aside. Place the two monitors side by side and use an auxiliary keyboard in front of them. This works fine too with 2 screens at 1600 x 900, and has the advantage of taking up less space. Read more

I bought this on the Amazon thanksgiving week sales and have no regrets for the price. I bought it as a screen extension to my DJ laptop to allow me to monitor Traktor2 from it as I don't like the smaller screen that comes with any laptop. It is certainly apparent from taking it out from the box that it is not the most expensive monitor but asthetics asides it performs well enough and gets the job done. Its screen is bright and clear , looks good in native and has a good refresh rate for those of you who may use it to play games or watch video's. I am well pleased with this buy and more so considering the price I got it for.....you would not be able to buy a used 20 inch monitor of this quality for the price I paid. Well done Amazon, I bought a few things on the sale week and none have disappointed....apart from the ones I was too late to buy! The five starts have been given not for overall performance, but for the overall performance at the price. Read more

I ordered this monitor for my parents pc and the first thing i notice is that there's no angle view, really, 0. If you sit in front of the monitor (normal distance) the top of the screen looks dark compared to the bottom part, so tilting the monitor fix that, but then the bottom part looks too bright so unless you sit very far away from the screen there's no way to enjoy this monitor. To make things worse if you move a few steps to either side, the colors looks completely distorted until the screen looks almost black. Honestly this is the worst monitor i have seen, my 19" LCD looks better than this and is 4 years old. Read more

After searching long and far for a monitor for my brand new Mac mini, I decided to go with this one - 1) pretty decent reviews, 2) good price and 3) built in speakers. We've been using it for almost a week and like it so far. Set up was easy, picture quality is good and it seems to work well with my Mac mini. I didn't have to fiddle with any settings- the Mac knew which monitor I was using, I guess. Highly recommend! Read more

This monitor is pretty nice, good sturdy design, reasonable price, etc. However, DO NOT buy this item without verifying that your computer has a VGA port/you have a VGA to DVI cable/ you have a DVI cable ( DVI to DVI LCD Monitor Cable 6 Foot DELL Brand Original (DVI-M) . The description here does not indicate that the product does not come with both types of input cables so this can lead to a very unpleasant surprise due to many new computers lacking a VGA port. Because of this two day delay on the use of my new computer, I must rate this product very low for now. Read more
