Finally got these shorts. I don't know what the issue was, but I ordered them in February and I was getting notifications for shipping and even out for delivery, then suddenly it would say there was a problem and they needed authorization to re-ship. This happened three times! So I don't know if it was a distributor issue or a postal issue, but goodness gracious. As for the shorts themselves, I concur with other reviewers that these are long. Like, I think of late 90's NBA shorts long. These hit just at/below the knee on my 5'10" husband - luckily, they weren't purchased for him! Our 13yr-old may be 5'8" now, but he appears to have my family's body build genes, which means he will very likely hit 6' and possibly beyond. These are a little loose on him (intentionally because he currently fits an adult small), so it seems they are true to size. The pockets are nice and roomy, though men's shorts always have roomy pockets, so that's not necessarily a perk here. The zip pocket is a nice addition for when our son is eventually allowed a phone or just to keep his wallet secure when he needs to carry it. Read more

They aren’t quite the shorts I was going for. I was going for more a gym short type, rugged type and these are more like shorts that you wear at a barbecue or outside event type of thing. One of the reviews I read after I bought them was that they can be used for the gym so I’ll check that part out, but they are good sturdy shorts.
