HUDSON Womens Denim Mini Skirt

I got lucky with this one. I have no idea about my wife's clothing size beyond basic alpha sizing, and she wasn't around to ask, so I took a shot in the dark based on a half memory and ordered the 28. Perfect fit, and the skirt looks great. It's a high waisted fit so there's a little leeway with the sizing. If you go a little large it'll just fall to wherever the waist wants to sit, so that makes it a little easier. To be honest I only ordered it out of curiosity about the price tag. I didn't get why something so small would cost this much, but I've been instructed to give it five stars nonetheless. The denim looks and feels high quality and is comfortable from the first wear. The functional pockets are a huge bonus, and they're well constructed so they don't add any noticeable bulk to the garment. The skirt still seems a little pricy to me, but it has immediately become my wife's favourite so I guess I'll go with that recommendation. Read more

This is a very high waisted denim mini skirt. It fits a bit higher than the picture shows, on the recipient who is a tall gal with model proportions and a consistent size 4. The brand is reputable and the style neutral. It is of very good quality and useful, but a bit out-dated with the high waist. Read more

I'll be honest, I had high expectations for this garment per its reputable brand and price point - and it definitely did not disappoint. The denim is thick and comfortable. The skirt features functional pockets, which I appreciate as a person who actually uses them. The garment is well sewn, arrives as presented, and is dyed thoroughly and intensely for the perfect shade of dark blue denim. This skirt is a mini skirt, but at 5'7" with a 32" inseam - I personally don't find it too short. Overall, this is a wardrobe staple and I wish I had both colors. Note: the smallest size available was a 23" waist. My waist is 19.5" and hips are 29", so the fit of the skirt was (expectedly) a bit big on me. It is very true to size for its measurements, I just personally need to do a hot water wash and a round or four through the dryer, but honestly this skirt is so perfect it's worth it. Read more

This mini skirt is SO cute, trendy and a little edgy. It's VERY short, and high-waisted, so that is something to note for sure. This is like a micro mini skirt. The quality is really nice. It has a cool stonewash look to it, and subtle Hudson branding with the iconic Hudson flag, pocket styling and brads. I didn't even realize this until it got here, but the waistband has inset, open grommets all the way around, which gives it a little bit of a leveled-up punk, edgy vibe that's very late 80s and 90s style. A cropped shirt would really show off this detail. The black Morrison color is versatile and edgy and awesome, and the wash enhances the vintage look. Very cool skirt, great with boots for fall or flats or sandals for summer. It's comfy to wear and really great quality. A versatile piece to wear with tights and a sweater in cooler weather and a tank in summer. I just love it! Read more

This reminds me of the denim mini skirts we had in the early aughts. I got the darker color and it looks just like the pictures in the listing. Its good quality and I like the pockets. I'm 5'6" and this is a good length on me, short but not too short. Read more
