This orange corduroy Moose by HuggleHounds was the favorite toy of my first Australian Cattle Dog (ACD) for the last several years of her life. She passed away in my arms at age 16. For most of those years, she shared Moose with her "adopted daughter," my second generation ACD, who loved it too. Their favorite mode of play was shaking it violently by one of its 4 legs, throwing it as high toward the ceiling as possible, watching it fall, and doing it all over again. The ceiling fan did suffer a couple of near-fatal hits. I did have to sew a couple of legs back onto Mr. Moose over the years, and the squeakers expired about Year Three. But other than that, this wonderful toy remained intact through two generations. I have never seen a dog toy with seams as sturdy as those in HuggleHounds Moose. And the heavy corduroy material never ripped or gave in to the powerful bite of two strong Cattle Dogs, although the squeakers finally gave in to external biting from two sets of very strong jaws. As you may know, Australian Cattle Dogs live to bite -- no, not their much loved owners, but rather the stampeding back legs and hooves of cattle and sheep which the ACD is fearlessly herding across rough ground. Despite years of rough play and tug-of-war between the two ACDs, this toy survived it all, plus many washes in a front-loading washer and hot dryer. And so naturally when my third Cattle Dog puppy arrived last month, with its needle-sharp teeth and its "biting ways," I thought of Mr. Moose. I wanted to give Sydney a gift that had been used by my two prior generations of Cattle Dogs. And Mr. Moose was willing and able. But I just could not bear the thought of moving Mr. Moose from his honored place on top of my Japanese chest of drawers - sitting between the two carved teakwood urns which hold the ashes of my first two beloved Australian Cattle Dogs. And so to Amazon I went, to buy Mr. Moose #2, for Cattle Dog #3. When I presented it to her, with a tear rolling down my cheek, she grabbed it ... and immediately began to shake it by a leg with all of the strength in her 10-week old body - and she threw it as high as it would go. Mr. Moose narrowly missed landing a disabling hit to the ceiling fan, so here we go again. Buy it. It will last for generations. Read more

This is easily the best dog toy I have ever purchased. My dog is a beast that will destroy pretty much anything. I stopped buying her stuffed toys because they would be in pieces in a matter of minutes. Even Kong toys only manage to last a few days. The only thing that has lasted is a nylon bone, but even that has been pretty well chewed up. We have had this for about 5 months, however, and it's still mostly intact. She is very rough with her little moose, but he has managed to hold up. My dog has exposed a few seams and it would appear that she was finally able to remove one of the small squeakers today, but the toys is still in surprisingly good shape. I could see this easily lasting another year before it has to be replaced. For the price, I'm totally okay with that. UPDATE 9/4/17: It has been nearly a year at this point and the moose has finally lost its limbs, but its torso and head are still intact. All things considered, I'd say that's pretty good. My destructive dog loves playing with this toy, so I'm impressed that it isn't in shreds by now. Read more

I invested in this toy thinking it would be well made according to reviews. My spaniel shredded the tail within five minutes of receiving the delivery. Don't waste your hard-earned dollars folks. Read more

I want to give 5, the only reason I'm stingy is my own dogs faultπ€£ he's such a chewer in a matter of a week or so he has managed to put 2 holes in it. I'm very happy it's still whole. And will be buying more in the future, just wish the outside was a little tuffer with the "exclusive tuff" thing, sorry can't remember the name. Anyway 4 outta 5! Read more

OK just wow! I am so tired of buying dog toys that last either one hour, or even if they say theyβre super strong and durable they still only last three hours. And we have a 10 pound Shih Tzu for Pete sakes! I am so impressed with these toys and I just unwrapped them! They are darling and soft and incredibly well-made. There is a sample of the internal super tough fabric on the inside that comes with the toy so you can see. The stitching is very strong, the material is strong, Iβm confident this will not be coming apart. I will update my review if they are not what they seem but I am super excited about these toys and I have never said that from the very beginning of owning a plush dog toy before. ππ₯³ TOTALLY worth the money. Especially since these should last for years which means no wasting money replacing garbage toys. Read more

Its cute. Dont play with tug with it though. My 30lb spaniel is already ripping it apart after 3 days. Really only three play sessions. Ill buy something tougher that I don't have to replace as often. Read more

We have bought a few of these toys for our dogs over the years. Quality has gone down. When you spend $20 for a dog toy the seams should last more than a month. Our puppy is not an aggressive chewer and other toys have been more durable. Disappointed. Read more
