I was originally hoping this could be used for food and house use, but it is really made to determine if a human has a fever or not and does a great job doing so. In a matter of seconds it is color coded to tell you where that person is in the range, and in this time of day is very important to tell temperature quickly. This makes it great for companies and organizations but also my family. It seems fairly accurate in terms of making quick checks which also makes it great for checking kids temperatures. I purchased two of these to use at an event that needed temperatures taken before entry into the main area where the event was being held. Unfortunately, the event was outside and the temperature outside was below 50F. What we discovered is that these thermometers would not work in the cold weather outside. They were fine inside, but not outside... We are able to utilize these in another capacity so that it wasn't a waste of money. Just know that if you need the use the thermometer outside, and it is cold outside, the thermometer will not read temperatures. Read more

I was looking for a simple, easy to use non-contact infrared thermometer for my mother who is 103 years old and can’t be bothered with the oral thermometers. This particular infrared thermometer uses 2x AAA batteries ( not provided), easy to insert at the bottom. There are only 2 settings : baby bottle temperature and humans. After 4 days of use :it is accurate, reliable and easy to use. In addition to showing the temperature there are green , orange and red lights for easy reference. I have already recommended this model to friends because it is not necessary to purchase a more expensive version. Read more

UPDATE: I’m amending my review from 1 star to 3 to give them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered another thermometer that looks like it’s probably the exact same one just a different brand name slapped on it. It also had a problem with the rechargeable batteries. I tried regular batteries, and it worked then. So, I’m giving Huheta the benefit of the doubt that this thermometer would have worked with non-rechargeable batteries. The thermometer was a “Huheta” brand. It was dead on arrival. I put in new, rechargeable AAA batteries upon arrival. Nothing happened when I pressed any of the buttons. I thought perhaps the batteries had decharged. So, I charged them. Still no sign of life from the thermometer. The batteries are working fine. Read more

My old thermometer kept reading 96.3 on everyone so I realized at 7 years old its probably time for a new one. I have checked this with other thermometers and it is very accurate. It's kind of neat that you can take the temp of the room or even things in the room. There is a setting for people and one for other. Great thermometer. Read more
