I do things all the time just for fun, and I cook with the mentioned items quite frequently, and it’s very convenient for making sure they are up to temperature before throwing on the food, but should definitely not be used to measure internal temperatures. Truly it’s one of the things you never knew you needed. Got a new set of skillets and joined a facebook group on cooking with them. They kept talking about proper temperatures for cooking.
