Husky versus WeatherTech
I buy too much from amazon—February 8, 2015
I bought them for a '07 chevy cobalt. They fit perfectly. I bought the weather tech brand for a different car and I love them but they were on the pricey side so I decided to give these a chance because of the cost. What I like about these over the weather tech - They have little spikes on the bottom to keep them in place - They do not flop around the edges because they are more stiff - The cost What I don't like over weather tech - They are thinner and lighter, which you would think is a good think but to me makes them seem less durable - Although the spikes keep them from moving around it is annoying to get scratched by them when you take them in and out for cleaning Summary They do a great job for what I wanted them for - they don't let melted snow or water get on the carpet and also they were less expensive then weather tech. If I had a bunch of money to spend I would probably have gotten another pair of weather tech but since I don't and I don't think most people do this was a great alternative with the same functionality. It fits, but after using it now for awhile, it slides around like other flood mats. There are little spikes under the mat that are supposed to prevent sliding, but it doesn't help. There is enough floor carpet for the spikes to catch on, but it doesn't work. Read more
