About this item

  • Superb Craftsmanship: Crafted with advanced polishing technology, our honing steel rod provides 3000-grit brushed grain, which can ensure each honing process being effecient and professional. It only requires you minimal effort to keep your knives sharp, prolong their lifespan and preserve their cutting ability.
  • Unique Design: This knife steel sharpener is designed with a magnetized tip, which can prevent iron filings from flying around while sharpening your knives. The ABS handle provides a comfortable grip for safe and effective honing motions. A thickened hanging ring is also attached on the top of the handle, allowing you to hang it anywhere
  • Premium Material: Made of premium high carbon steel, the 10-inch round honing steel has a higher-level hardness: HRC67, which can withstand frequent use without warping or bending. The advantages of its high hardness make it suitable for a wide range of knives, including stainless steel and carbon steel blades.
  • Wide in Use: Huusk honing rod has a longer honing area, which allow it to sharpen all sizes of knives and shears: small boning knives, large serbian knife, meat cleaver, chef knife, long bread knife and kitchen shears. There is a hand guard at the end of the handle, which can reduce the risks of cutting your hand while sharpening knives
  • Maintenance Tips: Please keep it clean and dry after each use. Please keep it away from children. And please don't turn the blade of the knife towards yourself and be careful while using it. And keep in mind that this high carbon steel knife sharpener is not dishwasher-safe.

High quality steel hone

Phils StuffDecember 22, 2025✓ Verified purchase

This seems to be a high quality, very hard steel hone. You cannot sharpen a dull blade with these. You can only hone an already fairly sharp blade. After using this hone I use a ceramic honing rod which is even finer and makes it razor sharp. Read more

Great for the price

This is a knockoff of a steel that's considered the best in the business. One of the line cooks where I work came in with one, and when he told me the price, I had to get one for myself to compare to the original. I've had it for about seven months now, and in a commercial kitchen, equipment life is measured in dog years. So far, it still looks pretty much new, and overall it's about 90% of the original, at about 30% of the price. Putting that in perspective, 90% of a F******* D*** steel is still head and shoulders above just about any other steel available. You can spend a lot more and not get close to the performance of this steel. It has become my go-to recommendation for young cooks looking for a good quality affordable steel. I still prefer the real one, but for the price, this is a great deal. It will perform better than most of the big name brands (W, H, S, G, KO, M, D, etc) and it should last years, even in a commercial environment. Read more

Worth the price, easy to use, quick results

Michael SanfordJanuary 27, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I've always done my best to keep a sharp edge on my cutlery because it's easier to work in the kitchen and actually safer. I used whetstones starting back in the 70's and finally progressed to an electric sharpener about 15 years ago. I also used a number of handheld sharpeners and honing steels. Then I watched a video from a chef and found out that these knife sharpening rods are far more efficient when used properly. This sharpening rod by Huusk met all the requirements (price, length, grit fineness, etc) and I was very impressed by how quickly it brought my knives to an extremely fine edge. Yes, you must maintain the proper blade angle while sharpening each side, so there is a learning curve, but it's not that difficult if you take your time. Some buyers have commented on how the handle can be slippery when it's wet. OK, it might, but why on earth would you be sharpening your knives with wet hands? I highly recommend this product!
