The 11" carving knife is more like a small sword than a knife, lol. My wife was hysterically laughing when she brought it out to me. I reminded her we needed it, as our Henkel sets longest knife is 8" and always comes up short when we are preparing large fish or slabs of meat. She agreed. The knife came pretty sharp out of its black case with a tip cover for protection. The wood handle is securely attached with 3 rivets and feels well balanced in the hand. I didn't really have too, but I honed the edge on my professional sharpener, and stropped using a thick leather belt before its first use. It sliced through over 20 pounds of Angus Prime like ive always wanted a knife to. For the sale price it was a no brainer and happy to add it to the tool box. 5 stars! Read more

I found this knife to be very balance and comfortable weight in my hand. I especially like that the knife is beveled and doesn’t stick to cheese or meat. I appreciate the length for slicing roasts. I’ve used this knife for mincing and chopping as well with the fine results. It is easy to clean and keep sharp as it’s stainless. I give my ‘thumbs up’! Read more

For the price this is really nice. However, it is not comfortable to use. I would suggest a glove if you are going to be cutting more than a couple of slices. The time sticks up above the handle of the knife which makes it dig into man while using it. Other than that I love it. Read more
