My dog did seem to like this toy, at least at first. However, he is a rescue, he has some anxiety issues (reactive with other dogs, leash puller). I was hoping this could help him get some energy out playing before walks as well as other times throughout the day, since when just playing with interactive toys with me, I'd tire out before he would (and he doesn't usually do much with independent toys). He quickly became obsessive when it came out. At first it seemed like he just liked it, but the barking and whimpering (not just play growling) that quickly developed suggested there might be more. Then, after a week or so with it, my dog who NEVER engages in resource guarding (at least with me) would growl threateningly and nip when I'd try to take it away. I suspect he would have moved to full resource guarding and biting if I didn't permanently remove it from him. Checking my suspicions, I did a search online (not just reviews for this and similar toys) and apparently it isn't uncommon for toys like this to trigger issues in dogs that are susceptible to anxiety. So, if you have a dog that isn't anxiety prone and doesn't resource guard, I give it 5 stars (he really seemed to LOVE it before it triggered issues). However, keep an eye out for issues, and if it triggers negative behaviors in your dog you may have to remove it from them. It isn't too expensive so it is worth trying to see if it works for your dog so long as you stay alert to be sure your dog is fine with it. He only played with it for about a week and a half to two weeks, so I can't speak to long term durability, but it did seem like it would hold up well (my dog is a heavy chewer). In the nearly two weeks he played with it (at least once a day/15min a day), I never had to recharge it after the initial charge so the battery seems to hold a charge for quite some time. Read more
