I am terrible about drinking enough water, so I wanted my own special bottle that would seal and lock for carrying it everywhere, but also have a built-in straw because I drink more with straws, and be fairly sturdy. These bottles are GREAT for my purposes. I can drink water while lying down with a migraine instead of having to sit up first. I love the reminder text on the side to help me spread my drinking throughout the day instead of feeling forced to chug water. The built-in straw is easy to disassemble and clean, and there's minimal leaking unless you open the straw and then flip it upside-down. My husband drops his and it hasn't broken yet. For those of you worried about cleaning it, the whole thing goes through the dishwasher just fine. At one point, I colored all of the text for the top two time periods with red permanent marker to remind myself of my bare minimum water needs, and after 2-3 washes, you can't even see a hint of pink on the white text anymore. I love them so much we own 4 of them already, and I'll probably buy a few more so that we have backups for guests or while the main ones are in the wash. The colors are a great mix so everyone has their own special bottle that's easy to identify and more personalized than "well, they have red, green, and black so you're getting whichever one is left." I found this water bottle at a great deal when I was looking to add a new one to my collection. I love the colors - and there were a ton to choose from. The motivational writing on the sides is cute and I know works for some people. I don't necessarily follow them strictly during the day, but they do help to keep you a bit on track for water consumption. The outside has a good grip, even if you have melting ice trying to form some condensation. The handle is also great for carrying it around. It fits into most cupholders in the car or even in a backpack side pocket. The lid has been great for keeping the water inside the bottle and not leaking. I love the ease of pressing the button and having the spout pop up. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is it is a little difficult to clean the straw. I haven't tried to force it from the lid because I don't want to break it. But I don't think you can detach it from the lid. I'm just extra vigilant about regular rinsing and soaking in hot soapy water and hoping no mildew or mold ends up growing in there. So I'm one of those people who have historically had trouble remembering to drink water. I'll forget that I need to be drinking between 2-4 liters across the day, and then 3pm comes around and I wonder why I feel like death warmed over. I've tried other water bottles of all shapes, sizes, and features, and I can safely say this is the first one that's worked for me! A few things I like - the purple/pink "unicorn" coloring is very pretty and stands out on my desk or at home, meaning I'm more likely to remember it exists or get emotionally attached to it (I'm also one of THOSE people). The fact that it's translucent and has hash marks on both sides helps me keep better track of how much water I should be drinking, as the solid Yeti or Owala ones don't let me see how much I've had throughout the day. The hash marks are also measured out effectively - the water bottle itself holds 32oz, so drinking 2 bottles' worth will get you around 2 liters of water intake. The flip-top straw and strap are also helpful, and the bottle actually fits in my car cupholder, so carrying it around and drinking from it is a straightforward process. The only downside I've noticed is that it's difficult to clean. The Tritan plastic that the bottle is made of is dishwasher-safe, but taking the cloth strap off is a hassle, so you probably wouldn't want to put it in the dishwasher. However, I find that this is just a matter of convenience, especially since the straw and lid come apart for cleaning. Read more
