Great shop lighting
We are in the screen printing world where lighting and brightness play a crucial role. Bright light is needed when doing finite work. We recently changed all our flourescent bulb lighting fixtures over to these. Taking out 4 foot sections and replacing them with this we were able to light more of the shop brighter with less lighting. We got rid of the annoying noise that those old fixtures made. All while reducing our energy consumption and making a better and brighter workspace. Read more
Works well.
I have Hykolite lights in my garage. They were ordered and installed in Jan. 2020. One burned out and Hykolite no longer makes the model I have. This light was purchased to replace the light that burned out. It works fine and was easy to install. It is not quite as bright as the one it's replacing but it's still plenty bright. It would be nice to be able to buy an exact replacement. It would also be nice if Hykolite sold spare parts. All I need to fix the old light is a 50W driver. Read more
Extremely bright well built lights.
Extremely bright, well built lights. Half the price of comparable products in the big-box stores. Would buy again for the other half of my barn. But note well: Hykolity is selling an identically spec'ed single 2' light on Amazon, but the mounting design is very different. I only needed three lights, and I incorrectly assumed that this pair of lights was identical to the single light with identical specs -- so I bought this pair and the single light AND three pendant mounting brackets. The pendant mounting brackets fit the single light perfectly. They don't fit the pair of lights at all. I spent a couple of hours fabricating a pendant mount for the pair of lights. It was a bother! I put this in my wood shop, at 13 foot height. WOW what a difference from fluorescent. I would recommend this.I hard wired this and used the wiring from the previous light. Only took about 10 minutes to install. I chose to use the chains to hang the light. Super simple. Excellent shop light.. Read more
These are hardwired and require you to buy a cord.
This product does not come with a power cord and requires you to hardwire it yourself to connect it to a outlet. i think they should have stated in the product description that there is no power cord. As for the light, it is very bright and does the job well for lighting up my room. I've had this for about a month and it has been working fine. edit -- they also have excellent customer service.
