These seemed quite small, the box hardly looked large enough to hold 4 of them, but it did and the lights work perfect in our garage. I don’t believe they are actually a full 4ft, I think when I measured for holes they are only 45-46 inches. But I’m not picky since they’re in my garage and the price is great. We hung them super easy by mount, it came with the chains to have them hang, but it would be in the way of our garage. It was nice to have the option. Fantastic lights for the price! So bright, I nearly have to wear sunglasses at my workbench! Kidding, of course, but it really does display a good, strong light on your work space. I have two near the workbench area, and have 2 more to put up elsewhere in a very dark basement. You couldn't ask for a nicer product-so light and easy to place using the simple attachments. A kinda cheap minimalist design if you are used to the old sheet steel fluorescent lamps. But man, do they throw light! I'm old and retired. Ten years back all my old tube lamps in the shop were failing. Not good as the transformers in them become a fire hazard. I got boxes of the then new-fangled LED tubes. I removed the transformers, re-wired them for the new LEDs and put them back up. They worked pretty good. I was happy enough with the improvement. But now, the ten-year-old electronics that run the LEDS are failing. Many tubes getting very dim. Being an old man on a budget, I tried this product. They are just thin plastic tubes with the LEDS inside and enough of a plastic bracket at each end to hold it all together. No sheet steel or even reflectors. I was questioning the wisdom of that until I plugged one in. OK! Super bright white glow light! They came with chains and hanging hardware. All good there. The walls and ceiling in my shop are all bright flat white. Once I had these up, the lack of downwards reflectors was no big deal. The bright glow reflects off everything and you get an excellent quality of light to work in. I can't say how long they'll last. But if I get ten years out of them like the old cheap LED tubes gave me, I'll be fine with that. Very easy to mount, especially if they are replacing an existing unit. Strongly recommended.
