We affectionately call this the "kicky ball." Our pup ADORES this ball, so much so that he'll just run around the house with the ball until he tires himself out. Since regular soccer balls don't have the easy to grab tabs and the durability of a dog toy, they simply aren't an option. This rad little toy is perfect. I especially love the big black handle that makes it way easy to throw the ball further to really get our dog running. The other cool thing about this dog toy is that it's light and easy to kick, unlike our dog's other favorite ball. That thing is heavy rubber and will stub your toe if you kick too hard. This thing is airy, bouncy, and super sturdy considering the abuse it goes through. The reason it'd dock half a star is because the ball lasts anywhere from about 3-6 months max. Not necessarily the fault of the manufacturer since it's literally our dog's favorite thing in the world, but it would be nice to not have to spend $20 each time. There's a bonafide kicky ball graveyard in our backyard. Still, it's definitely worth every penny. If you dog likes to play fetch and specifically enjoys playing with balls (hehe), this is a must-buy. Read more

My dogs favorite toy! He is a 1 yr old 90+ lb puppy and beats the crap out of this lol. We kick it, he pounces on it and carries it around the yard. Extremely durable even though most of the tabs have been torn off finally from him shaking it so hard! I just deflated it a little and he carries it around in his big mouth. Although my purchase wasn't completely inflated, my dog was able to grab hold of it (rather than the tabs) and carry it around. I ended up inflating it but actually liked it better somewhat deflated. The main black tab has come off but it has been pulled and tugged on so much that I can't really fault the product. My dog loves tug of war so the black tab took a beating. So, it lasts if you pick it up after playtime. I forgot last time, and it got ripped to shreds pretty quickly, but that's on me. My dogs love this toy! They have fun chasing the ball and retrieving it. It's worth buying this brand to me because the quality is a little better than all the knock-offs. It did last longer than the knock off version. I’ve never complained about a dog toy not holding up before. I don’t expect them to be indestructible, especially if you let them play with certain toys unsupervised. I had a cheap ball similar to this that my dog absolutely loved that lasted 10 days or so, which wasn’t bad for the price. So I figured this one would hold up longer, based on the price and reviews. It lasted 10 minutes. The day I got it, I took it outside to play with my dog. We had fun for several minutes and then I kicked it, he caught it, I heard a pop, and that was it. when I looked at it, there was a hole where a seam had come apart and the ball inside the ball was punctured. 10 minutes. Got this for my, now 1.5 yo medium golden doodle, when he was much younger. It has been his favorite toy from the beginning. He is a very vigorous dog, with not such a vigorous owner and he can entertain himself with this ball for hours outside. He dribbles it, runs with it and throws it around, and although it has to be blown up periodically, he has not popped it. His favorite ballgame with any size ball is keepaway. I walk around after him and pretend to take it away which causes him to run even faster. It’s the quickest way to wear him out. He has a very soft mouth and is not a power chewer like my previous dogs, so it has been very durable. He never tries to bite the ball, just the tabs or handle. This is a great idea. My 70 lbs Golden loved it. Sturdiness like most dog toys is dependent on dog and owner. I mostly played fetch with my dog, but it did not take long me to get distracted and she was able to tear it the green tabs and black handle off in a corner in minutes. Eventually the ball was deflated with puncture marks from her grabbing it by the whole ball as opposed to the green/black tabs. If your dog is able/willing to grab the tabs consistently I think it would last longer. My dog loved biting the whole ball, and it was easily punctured through after a few plays. Read more
