I am not a gamer but I bought this keyboard as a reconditioned model for typing. It is perfect to type with; it’s smooth, feels kind of like the old IBM keyboards. The keys might be a tiny bit closer together, so it takes a little getting used to, but not much, really. I really enjoy it… much more than my Apple OEM keyboard. Turning the key lights on is easy once you know; just hold down “function and DEL.” It’s a little clicky, but sounds great to me! It’s also very solid and well put together. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Firstly, this was my first ever mechanical keyboard. This keyboard taught me everything I hate in a mechanical keyboard — but that’s the beauty of it!!! 1. Firstly, it did not come with a switch puller or replacement keycaps. I’m not a big fan of the red keycaps, I’d really rather have just black, but they’re pretty cool looking I guess. That’s why I took off 1-star, because it’s a hassle to return the item and go keyboard-less just for these accessories, but annoying enough. 2. Again, this keyboard taught me everything I didn’t like about a keyboard. But that isn’t to say it’s bad, because mechanical keyboards are so so so preference based! Some things to consider: - [KEYCAPS] The Cherry MX profile keycaps are moderately high and the most common keycap you’ll probably find, but I strongly dislike them. However, they are PBT plastic, which is textured/durable and much better than the cheaper ABS plastic!! ABS would turn shiny much, much quicker than PBT. - [SWITCHES] The linear switches on this board are “quieter” but leave more to be desired when typing. - [CASE] The aluminum case is beautiful, and definitely a steal at 60-ish dollars!!! This is a very well constructed board for the price, and while I strongly dislike it, I highly recommend it as a beginner board!!! Read more
