Works the same for 1/3 of the price!
The media could not be loaded. After reading the reviews, I was ready for the possibility this generic brand may not fit properly (without gaps seen in other reviews) or have leakage. But I was willing to take the risk for the bargain since these are a 3rd of the price of the Samsung Certified Filters. I'm pleasantly surprised! It works and functions the same! No gaps, no leaks, fits perfectly. The installation was very easy (*uploaded video*) and took less than 2 minutes. >>> I would note, when installing the new filter, you do need to first push-in and turn (righty tighty). Taking the old filter out was easy, just turn (lefty loosey), and the filter pops right out. Per the instructions, I ran the water for 5 minutes after the new installation. I also emptied the ice tray and fridge handheld water pitcher for best results. The water already tastes cleaner so the filter quality is definitely there. BUT only time will tell if it lasts the advertised 6months. Although, I'm not very worried since other reviews seem to come to the consensus that it performs equally to the Samsung version.
