ICEPURE WFC5300A Under Sink Water Filter system 3 Years or 22000 Gallons Ultra High Life Replacement for ICEPURE

This was soooooo easy to install. When we had our Icepure put under the sink the first time, we had a contractor do it who was doing other things around our house. After about four months our cold water stream from the kitchen faucet was a trickle. My husband said that's because the filter was full. When the replacement came I was scared I wouldn't be able to do it. It was as easy as the instructions said. Turn to the left until it clicks (I remembered the "lefty loosey" rule for unscrewing things). It does take a little bit of muscle leverage, but I'm a senior woman and could do it. Once you hear the click it drops down. To put the new one, do the opposite. Push it in the receiving (mounted) top and turn to the right (righty tighty). Turn the water on full force and let it run for at a full minute. The instructions says until 2 gallons of water come through. I have no idea how to know when 2 gallons have gone through. We saw some dirty water come out at first, kind of spitting, which confirmed our guess that the previous filter was clogged. After maybe 15 seconds it was clear and working again at full stream. We let it go the. full minute just to make sure. We are back to wonderful filtered cold water that tastes great. Read more

Perfect fit, taste and long lasting performance. This is my first refill after the installation 3 years ago. I live in Florida where the water taste nasty, but can’t afford bottled water. We installed a filtration system under the kitchen sink and these being able to be on subscription and shipped to me when I need. It has been such a great save! They are easy to install and doesn’t affect water flow. I have never had any leaks and they last a long time. My kids and all their friends says we have the best tasting water. I can appreciate being able to drink ‘Tap water’ from the kitchen sink, but know that it is filtered. Also, really appreciate that that comes with stickers to put the date of installation so you remember when to change it next. Plus, one on subscription. This is my third ICEPURE .. original installation, and 2 replacement filters. The install and replacements went fairly easily. It does make a noticeable difference in the taste of the water for the better. I live in Wilmington, NC which draws water from the highly polluted Cape Fear River. Much of that pollution, PFAS in particular, comes from powerful, well connected industrial facilities upriver dumping waste into the river. I'm hoping that these ICEPURE filters can maybe mitigate a little of the pollution ...at least they make the water taste better. Read more
