Filters better than the OEM in Cost and Performance.
I decided to buy this filter because I needed to replace my GE existing filter. That filters cost over &40 and it started failing after 2 months. It also had a very thin water stream which I assumed was caused by the filtering process. My previous ones also had a thin stream. The new filter cost around $17 each so I opted to try the 2 pack. Also meets NSF 42 standards. Item came well packed and installed perfectly. After turning it on, I saw that it had a full water stream. The previous OEM filter had a very thin stream. I thought that it would thin out after using and that maybe the filter element was dislodged and the water was bypassing it. After running the required gallons of water to get rid of any particles, I noticed that the stream stayed the same. So then I tasted the water and it tasted great! No Iodine flavor etc. Wow! The best of both needs. Full stream with full filtering. Time will tell if this continues. Stand by for any updates. Read more
