Functional questions. Questions laid to rest
Company did a great job of getting me the air purifier in timely manner…. I was expecting an activated carbon filter to come with this product, but only a HIPA filter came, the book says I have to purchase the activated carbon filter separately… I also cannot find the MERV rating of the filter…. So I really don’t know the quality of the filtration, but the automatic particulate meter does work as the fan increases and decreases in speed at various times… I do not have a handheld particulate meter to verify the sensitivity. As it is, I really do not know if this is filtering the air any better than a box fan with a hips filter attached to the back. I do appreciate the cabinet being made of metal. It sturdy.. it is currently in a bed room, noise does not disturb sleep Update: I have had the air purifier for a year in my kids bedroom. We turn in on at night, my daughter not longer has her morning sneeze routine. I do see some dust particles periodically floating by with my flashlight at night but not significant. Since we have had the air purifier I have not heard the electronic air purification system attached to the HVAC activate.... The HVAC system use to activate every night before, and yes, I check and it is still working. I would make this purchase again. Super well built. Read more
