I bought these hooks to use in the shower for the kids to hang their wet bathing suits so they could drip-dry. I got tired of their suits hanging all over the shower rod and then on the floor when they went to use the shower and needed to close the shower curtain. By hanging them on the back wall, even if they didn't remove them before showering, they wouldn't get wet again. At first, the hooks didn't stay...and then I read the directions! Now, they are so tight, I can't even move them! They are almost too tightly secure! For the reviewers who couldn't get them to work, I wonder if they read the directions thoroughly. When I tried to just stick them on, they fell off. However, I remembered reading another reviewer saying that they had to put them on with water and followed the directions. I couldn't agree more...as long as you follow the directions for installation, they are very, very strong! I am ordering more today. Read more

I have some heavy stainless measuring cups & spoons hanging from two. It's been about a month, and they haven't budged. I can't move them, either. I have them stuck to the melamine on the 2012 IKEA Expedit shelves which I cleaned, along with the suction cups, with Restore The Earth glass cleaner (the best - gentle, thorough, and no streaks!), pressed the air out from behind them as if I weren't going to flip the lever, flipped it, and then let them do their thing. I was/am a little afraid they might warp the cheap shelf side. [Edit: I can't say enough about having an absolutely oil-free & smooth surface. My measuring cups did take a tumble, but after I'd just done some *hot* cooking and had just prior was doing some sinfully greasy cooking. Set of four stainless cups on the medium-sized cup for about 3 months with regular on-&-off action. I used a bigger one, and I was glad to have the nudge to do a thorough cleaning. They are touchy, really, but if you don't overload them and you get it just right, given the price, I really like them. If you want a $10 hook, go get one. Actually, I got one, and it fell off the melamine, too, but I had 5-6 pounds of steel hanging from it.] I suppose if the formula for the "rubber" is off, even just a little, or if it's colder than 78-degrees Fahrenheit or so, they might not work as well, but I'm entirely happy. A video review would look like a still shot. Second Edit: They eventually (five months or so) fell off the Ikea melamine, and now only stay put for a week or so. I can't take a star, though, since suction cups either need really fancy plastics engineering, or a properly smooth surface. They're great on the 'fridge, on glass and on fiberglass. I replaced them on the melamine with 3M adhesive hooks (but I only trust those for about a year when I replace the sticky strip). Read more

These hooks do the job and hold fairly well compared to other suction hooks I've used. They do fall off from time to time, but that's probably to be expected since they aren't permanent fixtures. I have the largest hook in my shower holding up a baby bath (3 pounds). The other hooks are in various places around my home holding up items that weigh less than a pound (adhered to glass and wood). The hooks don't fall off THAT often and they are easy to install, so I'm happy with my purchase. Read more

Not very strong. I got these to hold stuff in the shower and they stay for a little bit but they've never stayed attached for more than a day (affixed to tile). The way these work is that the hooks have to be in the down position (how they're pictured) for the suction to be 'on', otherwise they're very lose and won't hold anything. The idea is that weight on the hooks would keep them down and the suction cups affixed but unless the thing you're hanging is very slim I've found it can push the hooks out from their down-most position. These are really cheaply priced with prime so it's not all bad. This comes with 1 big hook, 3 medium and 2 small hooks. The small hooks were the most useful because they held weight equivalent to their size while the bigger ones felt more disappointing. Read more

We got five of the LARGE hooks for use when we were sailing on a rental in the BVI's. Used three on the wood bulkhead to hang up to 5 hangers with shirts and the like. Used one in the salon on the rough wood above the nav station to tie one end of a small hammock net in which we stored 8 apples, grapefruit, avocados, oranges and bananas -- on a boat fruit left on a surface will bruise from the constant up and down motion in a boat -- in a hammock the fruit stays fresh and unbruised. Anyway, that puts about 30 pounds of pull on the line (which is stretched taut) so I was worried the hook would come free, but 8 days later it was still working great. Same for the other hooks. I will say that initially I thought they were junk and wouldn't work. The hooks have an inner soft suction cup and an outer, loose shell. At first I'd push on the outer shell and they wouldn't attach even after seating the hook. The trick is to use the hook in an open position to push the inner suction cup to attach it and then seat it further by closing the hook. Don't push on the outer shell -- it won't seat the hook. We will be buying a few more. We bought small hooks as well. They work great as well. Read more

They do not stick to windows. I do not recommend. Read more

These are high quality suction cup hooks that really do a good job of holding in place, assuming a clean, flat surface. This set comes with an assortment of sizes, so you can use them for an entire series of items, including washcloths, small bathroom appliances, soap on a rope, whatever. They work best on a mirrored surface, but I've used them successfully inside bathtub surfaces, as well. To stick, lightly wet the suction cup, put in the desired location, then rotate the hook downward to set the seal. The plastic, too, is strong, so I'm not too concerned with breakage. Overall, considering the variety of sizes in this set and the price,I highly recommend them. Read more
