It covers a smaller gap and is sturdy enough to help keep your pillows angled and give some support when sitting up in bed. If you have a larger gap this will not fill it and you would need to go bigger. I was skeptical at first, I saw a lady review this Bed Wedge Pillow with negative ranking, and when it was delivered I saw a TINY rolled up sponge of a pillow, and was immediately dissatisfied and ready to write a scathing review - BUT!, as instructed, I left it alone to get to room temp and grow to the perfect shape and thickness! bottom line, within a few hours - it's PERFECT! The first one I received came ripped, but I believe it was a problem with packaging and not Amazon itself. I requested a replacement and it came timely. This is perfect for someone like me who doesn’t use a headboard and the bed is directly against the wall just protects the pillow from slipping down has improved.
