This stand is super sturdy and well made. The base is super heavy to ensure it won't tip over. It is packaged with a rubber ring around it, and I actually like to keep it on - it makes it easy to roll around. The feet is covered with felt so that it cushions the fall while putting it down. The included strap holder makes it easy to hang anything with a strap on it. I just have three complaints about it. It is overall too expensive for what it is. Quality is great for sure, but I'd like to buy more when I see the price come down for a bit. It is also a bit too shaky when handling cameras on it. For anything else, like lights, it should not be a problem. But I always have to make sure it is stable before recording. The third complaint is that there is no locking mechanism between the monopod and the base. It is a little too easy to twist to loosen the monopod. So in future iterations, I'd like to see some kind of lock to ensure it stays tight. Read more

I love these!!! They are much less bulky than a standard tripod style stand, and the weighted base securely holds my lights. The bases are about 12lbs each. Not super heavy, but multiple stands can be a little awkward to carry, depending how you are transporting them. Anyway, super happy with my purchase. Read more

I really didn't want to like these. They're pretty expensive and, on paper, fulfill the same basic function as a $20 3-leg light stand. Having them here to check out changed my thoughts quite a bit; the build quality, along with the difference in studio footprint and trip safety compared with a standard stand really makes the cost difference worth it. Love this stand. Very sturdy and well made, I don't have to worry about anyone tripping over this like the tripod stands. It's easy to use, easy to set up and break down. It has the perfect weight to it so that it doesn't easily tip over and stays stable. One thing is, It is a bit pricey, wish they could throw in a carrying case for this stand and it could offset the price...just a thought Read more
