I use these for lighting subjects on my macro photography table. In conjunction with ball head mounts I find it to be very easy and fast to put the lighting exactly where I need it! Read more

If I had to be critical I'd like the base to have a little more weight to it. It's heavy enough but I added an additional weight from another manufacturer. My OCD is triggered because of the brand mismatch but I'm working through it, at least for now. Read more

The iFootage A400 Round Base Monopod Stand is impressively stable for its size. In my test setup (as seen in my photo), it held my Godox AD600BMII with a large modifier extended so high it was practically introducing itself to my 8' ceiling. Even giving the monopod a light nudge didn’t make it feel sketchy—which honestly surprised me in a good way. It also has a much smaller footprint than a traditional light stand or C-stand, which is great for tight indoor spaces. The tradeoff? Its storage footprint is… exactly the same as its working footprint. Unlike a collapsible stand, this thing isn’t shrinking down to live politely on a shelf—you’re storing it at full pizza size all the time. I will say: it’s a little pricey for what it is, but it is very well machined and feels fantastic in use, so at least the cost shows up in the build quality. It loses one star because of the rubber edge guard, which pops off way too easily. Nice idea, but gravity shouldn’t win this battle so quickly. A little adhesive should solve it, though. Overall, it’s a stable, well-built stand alternative that’s genuinely useful if you need a compact footprint while shooting. Just be ready to glue the rubber back on and accept that the storage footprint is non-negotiable. 😄📸 Read more

I absolutely love this light stand. The build quality is amazing. The heavy metal base makes it extremely sturdy. I’ve put my AD600 on it without worries. The flat base makes it trip-free. This is probably my biggest plus on this stand. C-stands are great, but the legs are always in the way, and traditional light stands feel like a sneeze can blow them over at any moment. This stand beats all that. Adjusting it is just like any tripod legs—just a simple clamp. I do feel like this stand is not something you take everywhere. The base does make it a little awkward to take places. I feel it’s best suited in a stationary setting. Just easier this way, in my opinion. So far, it’s worked with everything I’ve put on it without issues. Read more
IFOOTAGE makes some of the most innovative products I have ever used. They are usually great and this one no different. This monopod holds up to their usual great quality. It uses their awesome quick release system which makes it super versatile and interchangeable when switching in between their other products. For me the best thing about this monopod is how it saves me space in my studio. I have used each one of their monopods and they are all great in their own way. This one saves on space, is less of a trip/knockover hazard and feels like a more stable option, although less portable. Read more
