It’s been a real test of trial & error with K Beauty. I went through the Laneige milky toner a bit underwhelmed; so I didn’t have great expectations for this product but I do know that I benefited from adding in another layer of moisture to my skin was definitely beneficial. It’s day 3 and this toner has been working pretty well. I don’t find it sticky and it sinks in by the time I’m ready to add a serum. Great price point and gentle while also very hydrating for my 50+ skin. I read reviews and I received answers to my questions that are to be polite, mostly useless. So, when I do the rare review, I try to be as thorough and honest as possible so someone else who is hunting for a product that I’ve tried gets a straightforward description. 🤓 Day 4 & it’s a truly great toner!! I wasn't expecting much from this product when I first opened n tried it bc its like water in your hand... but WOW! I was seriously blown away at how this makes my skin look n feel once applied. Its very thin n watery in consistency but its like magic in a bottle. Leaves my skin SO glowy n dewy n hydrated. Is great for my sensitive skin n eyes bc it doesnt bother them at all. No scent or any stickiness at all. Provides so much great moisture to the skin with a cpl good layers and it plays well with my entire routine; day and night. Been using this toner for 2 years. No skin irritation. Toner itself is pretty scentless and does well to hydrate skin without the skin looking oily. This feels really nice on the skin, but if you are comparing products, I really love the Beauty of Joseon rice toner better. This one is good, but doesn't feel as moisturizing and also leaves a slight film on the skin. I switched to this one when I found out I was pregnant since the Beauty of Joseon one has urea in it, so it is a good alternative if that is what you are looking for. Bought this along with a few other K Beauty skin care items to start a routine going into the new year. I saw a lot of milky toners that seem to be really good at locking in moisture and helping to give that glass skin effect. I noticed this was one of the more OG popular brands that came up on best lists repeatedly. I have to say it is totally worth it. It has no real smell and no stickiness or anything. You just put some of this on a cotton pad and use it on your face and follow up with a serum or moisturizer. I have dry skin and this has been game changing in locking in that hydration. really love the texture on this, it’s milky and light, not watery, and it sinks in fast without feeling greasy. my skin feels softer and a little more even after using it, almost like it smooths things out in a subtle way. there’s a clean, gentle scent that doesn’t smell perfumey, and it layers well under moisturizer without pilling. honestly just a nice, calming step that makes my skin look a little more hydrated and fresh. I love this stuff. I have combination skin, and I find that this hydrates my face without making it oily. I typically will apply 1-2 layers of this after washing my face, and it’s perfect. I usually don’t even need to follow up with an emulsion or moisturizer because it’s so hydrating. I notice my skin texture is also a lot better than it used to be. I think this toner is likely to become one of my holy grails. I do, however, plan on putting some in a little mist bottle because I think it might make application a lot easier, and be better for traveling. UPDATE: I still think this is a good toner, in terms of hydration and brightening. However, I discovered that I kept getting breakouts even though the skin itself was looking great. Turns out, my skin doesn’t like fermented ingredients. I’ll still use this to hydrate my arms and legs, but not my face. If you respond well to fermented ingredients, this is a must-have toner.
