Excellent shave soap!
This soap lathers up fabulously! Great shave! The only suggestion I have is could a scent be added like Bay Rum? But seriously, this is an excellent shave soap! Glycerin soap so I did what others suggested and microwaved it in my shave mug, let it sit a day and it's good to go! Don't get me wrong, the soap scent is fine but an old fashioned barber shop smell would make it perfect! Read more
Spend the money -- it's worth it ...
The best shaving soap I've found in years. Long-time user of VDH sensitive skin/glycerin soap, but lately VDH buggered up that product and it's now not the same. This, however, is great -- lathers well, stays lathered and delivers a very smooth shaving experience. It's a big puck, BTW, and will probably last quite a while. Highly recommend. Read more
Amazing Lather (& Cruelty-Free!) - Reasonable Price!
Arrived ahead of schedule & exactly as pictured. To minimize impact on the planet (packaging, toxics, etc,) mug-type shaving soap puck & brush is the best solution yet. Looking for a new, inexpensive, high quality, non-toxic, apparently vegan & cruelty-free shaving soap. Love this stuff, so far. Might be the best lather I've found in over forty years of shaving. I melted it down & poured it in my shaving mug (bowl, actually.) Since the bar was huge, (lowering the price per oz vs. others) I poured the excess in an old ice tray, and put them in the freezer. Once solid, I popped the leftover cubes into a ziploc and stored them to refill my shaving mug (in a year or two) when it gets low again. Love it! Read more
Really good shaving soap if you know how to lather it up!
I let the puck soak in water while I shower, then pour the water out and whip up some slick, creamy lather with my brush. The first time I used this soap I didn't let it soak, and the lather left much to be desired. It's hard to find a good shaving soap free of toxic ingredients and mystery fragrances, and I'm glad I found this one! Read more
