Better than All Star!
I had been wanting red for some time, and these delivered on that dream two days earlier than expected. While the laces do help with loosening the ankle and tighten the top, best to leave the closure to the zipper that runs all the way up. The laces just make them look really cool and stylish. On these the zipper was a bit stiff the first couple wears but now zips easily. As reviewers have said these do run a little large (which was good for me!) So if you're normally a 9 you can size down, and if you're normally a 12, 11 will fit perfectly. The material is quite sturdy, as these stand up on their own with any boot tree.
