I bought it in Jan 2025. It is sturdy, seems well-constructed, the round frame is a nice color of metal, giving it a bit of a classy look. And I was able to manually calibrate it as needed to make it accurately match my traditional and trusted mercury thermometer. I like this thermometer. I do wish the pointer needle was red and not black so that it could contrast with the gauge behind it. Think about if that is important to you when purchasing an outdoor thermometer that might be placed at a distance from where you would be standing when you read it. Could you easily see where the needle was pointing? Is that small detail enough to give this product only a 4-star rating and not 5-star? Perhaps not, but there are already 1,499 ratings posted for this item and, if you're like me, you'll first read the ratings that are not 5-star. Read more
