Very happy with my purchase, easy set up no batteries needed. large easy to read numbers. Humidity meter also easy to read. I bought it for my guinea pigs. I hung it with an airy spacer between their habitat and the thermometer so I can get a good reading I can see if the room is getting too hot or too cold or if the humidity is rising. Got it out of the box and the temp was way off. On the back you can grab the mechanism for the temperature assembly (round plastic in the middle) and turn it to set the temperature. Don't know if this is the way it's supposed to be or mine wasn't glued in but just know you can try that if it doesn't read right.. never had to "set" an outdoor thermometer, lol.. other wise it's just as promised and seems to work well..haven't had enough time to judge the accuracy of the humidity Guage but the temp seems good to go... Easy to read. Temperature is within a degree or so according to my instant read thermometer. lower temps seem high, higher temps seem low, so I'll wait a bit to try adjusting. Slip of paper packed with it say to call customer service, but no contact info there or on the internet. It's pretty close anyway. This thermometer works great and was this very accurate right out of the box. You can also adjust the thermometer setting on the back so it's more accurate, if needed. It's easy to read, I like the color combinations of the face, and appreciate the quality. If ever needed, I would definitely not hesitate to buy this again. Read more
in cold weather it freeze up and does not read accurately. the moment there is any sun on it, it also shoots up hotter than what it is. temperate weather and in the shade it reads ok Read more

Those are the job as far as telling the temperature, but it is a lightweight, flimsy. A good wind could blow it off. It’s mounting. Read more
