I wasn't sure if my kids would be scared at first, but they ended up really enjoying it. It was cool to see how it crawled forward, backward and even does a full turn on the wall. It does make a slight fan noise while on, but nothing too loud. The suction works well as long you don't block the sensor when placing it against the wall and make sure you not to tear the white paper underneath it, since that helps grip it better.
