It is superb fore this function. This new one is not nearly as powerful; nonetheless for charging my cell phone (and some other devices), it is more than adequate. It is tiny yet more powerful than my older 10,000 mAh chargers (which are at least twice this one's size and weight). Its built-in USB C cord is very robust; however, just out of an abundance of caution, I am not going to use it as a carrying strap. And here is the one little "nit" I can pick with this particular charger. My first one came with a nice carrying bag. This one doesn't and I wish it did. But that is a minor "nit" I suppose. It has a little extendable clip which actually does hold my cell phone (which has a plastic protection cover) but I doubt that I'll use that clip too often. Now - how fast does it charge my cell phone? It charges it VERY quickly, much faster than my older 10,000 mAh ones. This one can also do pass-through charging but, frankly, I am not going to use that facility. At $29.99 (Amazon's current price) I think that this charger is a genuine bargain and I will VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to you. It charges at an okay speed (not as fast as my usb-c to lighting cable for my iPhone) but decent enough to not complain when we're out and about. It takes longer when it's charging something bigger like the iPad. It took about 65% of the battery pack to charge my iPad from dead to 55% charge. I remember my first 10000 mAh power bank battery, it was twice the size of this one. This is indeed small for the capacity it has. Many of this power bank's competitors have multiple outputs -- lightning, USB-C, microUSB, etc. This one has only the USB-C and the USB-A, but that's not such a bad thing. It means my iPhone-using family members with the older phones are less likely to steal this one from me. However, you can plug any kind of USB cord into the USB-A socket if you want. The pass-through charging feature is really nice for saving on cords and plugs when traveling. Speaking of the built-in USB-C cord, this cord does double-duty as a carrying strap. I've seen this design before in power banks and I'm hesitant to carry them this way, just because the built-in cables are usually the first thing to fail on these power banks. However, this cable feels very robustly constructed and it will probably hold up. Still, I probably won't carry it that way. However, the case has a slick finish which makes it easier to slip out of your hand so hold on to it. This power bank also features a pull-out tab that catches the bottom edge of your phone so that you can stand up your phone by leaning it against the power bank. This is probably only going to work if you have a super-thin phone case or no phone case at all. My Samsung S22+ with case certainly doesn't fit. This is a feature you're probably never going to use, especially since many phone cases come with their own built-in stands now. If you have the newer iPhones or you're an Android phone user, this power bank should be a great travel companion for you. This is my third INIU power bank - not because the others have gone bad, but because family members keep "borrowing" these because they are great power banks. The INIU is well constructed. A built in USB-c cable (the current standard for most devices) which doubles as a carrying strap. USB A and USB c ports for pretty much all the connectivity you need. Compact for a 10,000 maH power bank and built in LCD charge % screen. Fast charging and trickle charging capable. This is a great power bank and a good size / capacity for a phone and related accessories. One minor oddity - while the INIU does allow pass through charging, in my measurements the charging of your phone is slower in pass through mode than on the power bank alone (my phone received less wattage when charging pass through than if I unplugged the INIU from the wall and just charged from the battery pack). Not a major issue, but something to keep in mind if you are trying to quick charge your phone. In addition, the power draw from the wall is lower than if you charged the INIU alone (without connecting a phone for pass through). This is not a major issue - many will likely use the pass through charging for overnight when speed of charge is not a problem. There was an independent video review of multiple brands of power banks that I had previously viewed. INIU was one of the top in many categories, including delivering the actual power that is advertised (many cheaper brands fell quite short), and since then I have trusted the INIU power banks and have not been let down.
