Works Great, Just Need A Remote For It
Got this before Christmas because our old VCR ate an old tape and it broke down so we had to get a new one. It was hard because we have one of those dinosaur TVs. I was going to a family run company online, but my mother convinced me not too, since I really didn't know who they were, so I came here and hunted for one and am so glad I did. It works great! Yes, it's only the second month(this is January) but the other one we had was so light and it broke down within a year. This one is solid, well made and I believe this will last us a long time. The great thing about this dvd/vcr combo is that when we finally get a flat screen, we can still hook it up to this one. We have not tried taping anything with the VCR because this did not come with a remote. To watch a DVD you just press play on the VCR side. There are Remotes for this brand on Amazon, I just have to find the right one, then we can tape, and be able to pause movies if we need too. Read more

This will work outside of U.S. DVD player
I said I'd never buy this DVD player. Since the U. S. wants to ship good movies (made in this country) over seas so they can mess up the region you have to have a special player to get the movie to come in. It worked. Now that I have this player I can get my DVDs anywhere. Should have done this sooner. Also, did not cost too much. Read more
