This stuff worked great overnight! Really nothing to the contrary I can say. Two uses perhaps a price was a bit high; however, one of the toilets I tried four different products 12 cleanings over a week including scrubbing without much of a dent. This product did exactly what it was best to do without scrubbing overnight. Not sure if it's safe for the toilet hardware, but I was prepared to get rid of the toilet if I couldn't get the tank clean. Had grown weary of the rotten egg odor and biofilm that seemed to be coming from iron bacteria deposits in the tank walls and eventually leaching into the tank water and bowl water. Still wondering if my problem issue returns and only time will tell. Bought these for an old (from the 60s) toilet that, after 65 years of hard water build up, had stopped working very well. The tank could not fill fast because of the buildup and therefore the whole thing did not flush well. To replace this toilet would be a huge undertaking since it's wall-mounted and not floor-mounted like all the modern toilets, which means a plumber would have to re-run pipes, and destroy our wall in the process. So, this was a last-ditch effort to save us this hassle. And it worked! I have not had to manually fill the tank with water since using this product just one time. I used half the bottle, like the instructions say, and that was enough to clear some of the build up. The toilet seems cleaner too. There's not a strong smell with this product, though you do have to be careful not to use it when there may be bleach in your toilet (like a bleach-based cleaner) because it will combine with that to create ammonia.
