Tons of fun for our Border Collie

We have another version of this toy and it is universally loved by our Border Collie puppy. This version incorporates a "remote" function, which adds a few features that the other basic one doesn't have-namely the speed and direction of the ball. It's not like you can actually change direction or anything like that, but it does allow you to mess with your dog at the most appropriate times and that's been a lot of fun. It also allows you to choose the speed of the spinning, which is also fun. In the end, however, it still gets played with all by itself with it's own automatic timing and sensor-driven antics-it's not like you need to be the one with the remote. Bad structural design.

Do not buy this ball. It is an awesome product. My two miniature dachshunds love it. But.......it does not last. Poorly designed. The interior plastic housing that holds the mechanized part breaks immediately. The first one lasted 2 days. I got a replacement thinking it was just an anomaly. But the replacement didn't even last a week. Broke inside at the same place. It's too bad because the dogs loved it. Having said that, I had no problem returning them both. Read more
