My small dog loves this toy. At first, it startled him and he barked at it. But one great thing about this toy is that it periodically pauses it's movement, which allows my dog to catch the string. After short pauses, it starts moving and flashing again, and he enjoys chasing it and he gets so excited when he catches it. This is a excellent toy for smaller dogs and dogs that are not aggressive chewers. My cocker spaniels love it and get excited to watch it roll around on the floor on its own, however my german short hair pointer has already chewed pieces of it off so I had to take it away only mins after they had it. I definitely want to give this five stars but it has kind of poor battery life. My dogs absolutely love playing with this and we'll Chase it around for the entire duration of the battery. This was used once for less than five minutes. Product moves so fast it actually frightened both of my dogs. This product did not work as advertised and literally frightened both of our dogs and they would not go near it. I was hoping this would have worked as advertised but it did not.
