I tried the Discoliner Hairline Powder with Fibers to help with thinning areas on my fiancé’s head, and overall I think it’s a useful quick-fix solution with a few limitations. My fiancé has thick, jet-black hair, so his thinning spots at the top aren’t super obvious — but he still noticed them and was self-conscious. This powder did a great job of concealing those thinner areas. Once applied it blended really well with his natural hair color, and you could barely tell where the scalp was showing through. The powder is designed to instantly cover thinning spots and sparse areas for a fuller look, and it fulfilled that purpose for us. I also liked the compact size — the small container is perfect for on-the-go touchups. It comes with a puff applicator and even a little mirror built into the compact, which makes applying it quick and mess-free anywhere. I tried using it on my stubborn grey hairs too. It did help reduce their visibility and made my hair look slightly more even in color, although up close you can still see some greys. That’s honestly not surprising because greys can be tough to fully disguise with a powder — but it still helped enough for a quick, casual fix. Where the product fell short for me was the wear. It claims long wear and water resistance, but once it got a little wet or rubbed a few hours after application, it did start to come off — so it’s not entirely wipe- or water-proof in my experience. I think if you’re careful not to touch it and avoid sweat or water, it likely lasts longer, but it didn’t fully live up to the “48-hour” performance I saw mentioned online. Also, if you’re looking to cover a receding hairline, this might not be the best solution on its own. The powder is fairly lightweight, and unless you really build it up, it won’t provide a dense, opaque coverage like a thicker fiber product or spray might. It blends well enough for touchups and filling in sparse patches, but for wider, more advanced thinning it’s more of a temporary cosmetic cover than a complete fix. For the price, though, I think it’s worth having in your routine if you just want quick coverage or are dealing with moderate thinning — especially since the applicator and compact design make it super easy to use. Best color and best hair powder I’ve used it’s dark enough to hide my roots and when I separated and put my hair in a ponytail, it covers my white separation line. It looks really good and it’s a fuller bottle the most. Read more

I needed this because I have hair that if pulled back my forehead is large and at temple area and above ears can reveal white scalp or look thin. I've used these type products sporadically on occasion in years past but this ones application method is far superior. And the product itself is excellent. I've even worn it working out w a bun on top of my head and zero had drip and I did sweat. So I approve this. I told my mother to get some. I have dark brown hair I got the dark brown. She got the same and her hair is darker than mine. The container it comes in with the application sponge hidden underneath is so charming. It travels well. And what the price is for this.. is a very very good deal. Just the container would be worth that. I highly recommend. Read more
I struggle with thinning hair as well as those grey hairs that seem to double overnight. Although I do get my hair colored to cover the grey, there's always a period of time that I'm not yet ready to drop the money for a root touch up. I figured if this product could extend the time between visits to the stylist, it was worth a try (and at the very reasonable price, what did I have to lose?). The powder is packaged in a smartly designed small container with a removable puff applicator attached to the bottom. It isn't a loose powder so that makes it very easy to use and travel friendly. It does have a "mirror", but it is more of a reflective surface because you can't actually see anything in it. The product applies quickly and evenly with the applicator and coverage can be built up as desired. I was very surprised that, as long as I went lightly around my temples, it really did make my hair seem fuller and not artificially touched up. It does rub off pretty easily and I found myself with brown smudges on my fingertips which washed off easily with water. I'm not certain I would trust this in inclement weather, but I think it is great for touch ups or travel and would get it again without hesitation. Read more

This really was exactly what I needed!! Perfect color! I got the auburn and my original color was more of a cherry cola but has faded a bit lighter and it was PERFECT! Super easy to do and my roots look so much more blended! For only $6 it’s worth it 100% Read more
Disco Liner Invisible Hairline Powder, Volumizing Hair Fibers to Cover Thinning Hair Bald Spots, Instant Root Touch Up, Natural Look for Hair Loss, Receding Hairlines, Water Resistant. This has the potential to be a great product, however the color is waaay off. The “Light Brown” is too red/auburn and “Medium Brown” is way too dark and also too red/auburn. I’m not balding, but have thinning around the face-framing temples, so it was important to get the color correct. I did love the ease of the new compact design. This packaging has completely replaced the loose powder that needed to be shaken or applied with a brush. The compact with sponge applicator is perfect for travel as well as daily home use. The actual product is sweat-proof, stays put and did not rub off on my pillow. The price is very reasonable compared to other brands with this compact design - the only struggle was finding the correct color. I ended up going with another brand that had a true neutral “Light Brown.” Read more
