This purchase has changed my household. We have 3 pets and 3 floors that have historically been covered in tumbleweeds of fur, which drive me bonkers. My wife and I both work 50+hrs/wk so we don't have time to stay on top of things. For a while now she has said she wanted a Roomba so during prime days, I got one. For the holidays, I may very well buy another one for each floor. I love the sound of this thing firing up on time every day. The only issue(s) we've had so far were around this thing running over our cat bowl and getting itself stuck but otherwise, it's worked flawlessly. Here are a few tips: When you first open the box, it's tempting to want to turn things on and to play with the roomba, but let it charge first; otherwise it won't finish mapping and you'll have to do it all over again after it has fully charged. When you run this for the first time it may or may not prompt you to do an update like mine did. After the update, it may also take a little time for you to have the option to map your home, which stressed me out a bit, but it will come back. When you do the original mapping, I recommend blocking off stairs or any areas where this thing might fall or you truly don't want it to go, though afterwards it will remember so you won't have to keep doing it. Take the time to go through the results of the mapping. Name your rooms and set your schedule up appropriately for the best results. A best practice is to also always double check to make sure there are no chords, blankets, socks, etc in Roomba's path. After that, grab a cup of coffee and welcome yourself to the 21st century your vacuuming and mopping are now being handled by a serious expert! I give it 5 stars, simply because it is a super cool gadget. This hardware is impressive—how it maps, moves around, and goes through and around various obstacles. I have various carpets, thin rugs, a runner in the hallway, and plants. Some things could become obstacles, but the Roomba went through all of them. You could use the Roomba without the app because you push the button, and it starts doing its thing. I give it four out of five because the app could be better. The setup: Obviously, this is a high-tech device right in the Box. There's a QR code that everyone should scan to download the app, and that's where you set up the connection and update. Still, we ran into some issues where the Wi-Fi would not connect. Remember, you have to use a lower frequency Wi-Fi. I have a 5G Wi-Fi, and I had to make some adjustments to turn on 2.4 Wi-Fi. I ran into some struggles because my wife wants the app on her phone; therefore, I had to reset the Roomba to set it up on her phone, which was a bit of a struggle. It didn't know what to do, but we got it to work after a few resets. The App. Getting used to the maneuvering back and forth gives you a check in the settings, but it still takes getting used to. I noticed one section of the app that freezes when I click on it. I will have to completely exit the app and come back in. Another thing is that the user guide with pictures and instructions is a PDF file within the app. You need to have a PDF app to see it. I could see someone may have to struggle with that. Overall, our house is always clean, and there's nothing on the floor to make it difficult for the Roomba, so my setup and mapping were pretty smooth. If you have a messy home with stuff on the ground, I could see that it will be rough for the Roomba. I suggest a preclean, as in picking up oddball stuff, and let it do this mapping. Final review: It's great for busy people, and the large home format makes hardwood cleaning with solutions the best. If you have a smaller apartment, one bedroom is probably easier to grab your vacuum and be done in 20 minutes. The picture shows you the mapping in the bathroom pattern from the Roomba it covers virtually everything but my tables. Two circles on the app, the with the sad face is the one that freezes the app. The only reason 4 out of five instead of 5 out of 5 is that the app may a struggle for a few users. Read more

really love this vacuum. It makes my cleaning easier and takes vacuuming and mopping off my plate. I have a very messy little girls who is always dropping stuff on the floor so this combo Vacuum and mop assis my with cleaning up after her. My floor actually looks shiny after I let it loose my my tile floors. It is quiet with it runs and map out the room with precision. The set up and I had no complications in understanding the directions. I have two issues with the product. It sometimes struggle and takes a while to dock after cleaning. The base could be close and it takes a while to find it's way home. My other complain is the amount of noise it makes when it is emptying into the base. It sound like a engine on a jet when it's about to take off. The benefits outweighs the kinks that i complained about. Read more
