Great pants!

Very comfortable. Terrific zip pocket on the side for cell phone. This is fantastic for not having a phone in the back pocket which irritates sciatica. Read more

Comfy Pants With Thin Belt Loops.

Pretty good pants. Comfortable fit but I’m a bit concerned about the longevity of the belt loops which are very thin. Read more

Rugged carpenter/work pants

While these are a little longer than 34/32 compared to other pants I own, the pant legs do rest on my shoes just fine. These are made of a thick fabric, roughly between a typical pair of khakis and a pair of jeans. The spandex/polyester stretchiness is really only noticeable around the pocket areas. The pockets are the best part. On the rear pockets they are doubled up, one on top of the other. I find the regular rear pockets are fine and have decent room for a wallet or typical item. The extra pockets above them are smaller on the opening side and then expand out with more room below. I found it a little difficult to reach my hand into these pockets fully. The other additional pockets are on the sides of the thighs. On the left side is what I like to think of as a hammer or umbrella pocket. It is a long but narrow pocket, I could definitely fit a collapsable umbrella in it. On the right side on the thigh is a zippered pocket with enough room to store a baseball's worth of loose change, bolts, washers, etc. The zipper area has a neat style ruler embroidered onto it, which I imagine is part of the benchmark brand. The pocket linings are also branded nicely. The zipper works well. I do have trouble with the button however, in that I cannot unfasten it quickly with one hand like I can with most pants. The threading that holds it onto the pants is more reinforced and the button itself is just the right size for the hole on the other side, so I find I have to pull both sides together to align the button just right to get it out. Other than that, these are good quality work pants with ample pockets. Back pockets are typically pockets I rarely use as I often forget about them, and it is usually uncomfortable to sit on most items that go in pockets. But the extra side pockets are neat and add extra storage to these pants without making them look like cargo pants. I am a fan of the style, and will likely wear these the most when doing home improvement projects. Read more

Well Made Pants

The media could not be loaded. These pants are well made. As soon as I got them, I looked them over and could not find any loose threads or other defect. They are very sturdy with a weight slightly less than jeans. The pockets are all deep with plenty of room. On the right thigh there is a handy zippered pocket that easily fits my cell phone. On the left thigh is an open pocket that also fits my phone. I like that the extra pockets are non-obtrusive, so the pants don't look like cargo pants. The back has four pockets, two normal ones and two smaller ones that are behind and slightly outside of the normal pockets. I'm not sure the reason for this. If you used all those pockets, it would get pretty bulky and would definitely get in the way of sitting down. The waste runs slightly large. I got these pants with a 36-inch waist which is what I normally buy. These are a little too large for me. If they made these pants in a size 35-inch waist they would probably fit me perfectly. Nicest work pants I've ever had

I used to buy my work pants from a national retailer, but then they stopped making my style and size. So I found these pants and gave them a try. The first thing that I like is the pocket that is on the side of the left leg. That pocket is a perfect place to keep my phone while I'm working and I can move around, move up and down without bothering my phone. I always used to keep my phone in my back pocket, but I would always have to take it out every time that I bent down. That pocket makes a huge difference. The fabric is soft and mid-weight, but it's not as tough and durable as jean material, but it has a much better look to it, it's a bit more "professional" looking. I wear a size 34X36 and after washing and drying, these pants fit me perfectly and are very comfortable. There is a bit of stretch to the fabric but not too much. When I bend down, the stretch fabric has some give to it, but they still keep their shape. The one thing that takes getting used to is the waist button. Instead of being sewn directly to the waistband, it is loosely attached to the band by a small piece of webbing that is almost 1/2" long, and it's loose. So I struggled to button and unbutton these pants for the first 5 or 6 times that I wore them. It is annoying, but I still love these pants. Read more

Good work pants

When I came to write this review is when I noticed these said 8 pocket and I couldn't find the last 2. I was positive these were the correct pants, but still, I only could find 6. Well, it turns out I was sitting on them. I didn't want to have to take them off to find my own darn pockets, was this a me problem, had someone picked my pockets. After what must have appeared to anyone watching a rather thorough frisking of myself ala Columbo or perhaps something more suggestive, there they were, they were doubled up in the back, right where I can't see, when wearing them. But I was relieved to find I hadn't been shorted. These remind me a bit of those other work pants, but much less stiff. I've owned many a pair of those other ones and they don't give an inch, these stretch just a little, they are yoga pants or sweat pants, they won't dig in so deep they leave marks if you put on an extra pound or two. I thought that I was already having trouble with the button as it is floating about on a rather generous amount of stitching, it makes it a little harder to button one-handed, but when I looked closer I found that the button isn't held on by a few strands of thread but rather several wide strips of cloth. Nice touch, because I've been known to pop a less well secured button here and there, I guess someone else has too. Good lookin' out. Read more
