We bought this to display our ever-growing fragrance collection. We wanted something tiered but not too bulky feeling. We also wanted to be able to add lights to the shelves. A glass cabinet would probably be best for lights but piling expensive glass bottles onto glass shelves when we have cats just seemed like a bad idea. The slightly skewed design of these shelves is perfect for our ~100 full size bottles. We probably could technically use a 2nd unit to keep our bottles spread out more and a little easier to grab but for now we have been enjoying seeing all of our fragrances easily. The shelves are sturdy feeling and were relatively easy to put together. It does feel a little tippy so we double anchored it to the wall. We are in earthquake territory so I might add another anchor or two but for now it seems sturdy. One of our cats even jumped on a shelf and it didn't wobble at all. I am really pleased with the Ironck bookcases we bought to replace the more traditional bookcases that didn't hold up during our move. We bought several different sizes and shapes with the same metal and rustic wood style. They all fit together nicely without looking identical (which makes it look like our decor is more intentional than the reality). While made of manufactured wood, the quality is excellent. These feel much sturdier than I was expecting given the materials and price. This is not cheap pressboard with a thin vinyl coating, but a much more solid, even wood textured material that I think looks very nice even upon close inspection. Be aware the shelves are fixed height, so if you have taller items, you'll need somewhere else to put them. A potential problem with getting all the same brand and look. Fortunately, we still had one bookcase that made the move with us successfully, and that one now holds all our oversized books. They are a decent height for most books including cookbooks, but coffee table books, and a number of our children's books (BIG book of, etc...) were too tall to fit. Read more

This book shelf has so much rustic charm. This is the design I choose for my new apartment decor. It is very sturdy and instructions how to build it are very understandable. Love the two door storage on this unit stored all my photo albums in there. This item is a must get!! Read more
