Needed shelving for my fused glass hobby that my wife would consider nice looking since I work in our finished basement. Fusing glass is surprising very heavy and I liked that there are no long unsupported spans and all the weight is eventually transferred to the metal columns. The biggest down-side is the lack of sides so need to use book-ends or such. I liked the quality of the materials and had no scratches or dents even though the heavy shipping box had some FedEx damage (a crumpled end shows it was dropped!). But the contents was well-packed and no internal damage. I do wish they used something recyclable rather than all the plastic film and styrofoam; but at least no packing peanuts! Assembly was straight-forward; just look closely at the illustrations. It took me a few hours to assemble and I learned the hard way to not tighten any screws until completely assembled. It would be helpful if an added final step included hints on the order to tighten screws. I used a battery-powered screw-driver with a 5/32" (or 4mm) Allen wrench driver to made assembly much easier, though an Allen wrench is included for the tool deprived. UPDATE: I bought https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7MH2XC9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details black ABS pre-cut plastic panels and hot-glued them to the frame to make ends for the shelves. UPDATE: The included wall anchors are very cheap so get a different drywall anchor. Remember to anchor to the wall if you have small kids or live in earthquake country. Read more

These shelves were relatively easy to assemble (if you're used to buying furniture like this online and assembling, this is no easier or harder than others). Assembled, it looks just like the photos, and is a slick and stylish option for displaying decor. The quality appears to be quite good, as well. The shelves seem plenty sturdy. I wouldn't put, say, an aquarium on the shelves, but for just light decor purposes, it's more than sufficient! Read more

We are a board game loving family, but have always stored our games out of sight... which has meant forgetting we own them and not playing them nearly as often as we'd like to. So we set out to find the perfect open shelving unit so that they'd be on display in the middle of our house...
