My wife’s books are getting out of control. What is a husband to do? I searched for a good long time for a bookcase that was affordable, looked nice, and matched our home’s aesthetic. I came across this unit and the reviews were mainly positive, so Black Friday sealed the deal. It arrived a week early via UPS. The box edges were smashed, but the manufacturer packed the unit exceptionally well and nothing inside was damaged aside from the foam padding. The instructions for assembly were exceptionally simple to understand and overly simplified for nearly anyone to be able to assemble the shelves. All the hardware was there plus a couple spares. All the holes for the bolts were aligned just fine with only a few needing a bit of a wiggle/nudge to come together. One of the frame pieces did have a tiny gouge, but it’s on the back, so i’m not mad. Is it heavy? Yes. You want this to be heavy. It feels very sturdy. The rear panels and side rails keep your items from falling behind the shelves making this exceedingly versatile and the included wall achors are a nice touch. This 5-tier corner sold is exactly what I was looking for. It’s attractive and very sturdy. Its stability comes in part from the fact that it’s a corner unit. That makes it almost impossible to tip over. Assembly took a couple of hours because there were a lot of parts and fasteners to deal with. You need to follow the pictorial instructions exactly, paying particular attention to the orientation of the various pieces, and making sure that you get all the holes aiming the right direction. The instructions are excellent but the fact that there’s a corner makes it critical to follow directions to the letter. If you do that you will be very satisfied with the result. Read more

It's a bit heavy, but that's good, because it means the thing isn't flimsy. Great space saver for my apartment. Holds my books, movies, vinyl collection, kid's art supplies, and more with no trouble. The wood grain looks pretty nice. My cat climbs on it sometimes and it sits pretty sturdily when he does. Pretty good addition to my home for the price. Read more

The shelf unit is well made and beautiful. I needed something to display my doll collection. I now have room to put my large collection and it doesn’t look cluttered. It fits well in the space I have available. I liked the virtual ability to make sure it would fit. It was relatively easy to assemble too. Read more

I bought mine to hold my liquor collection, the back of the top shelf has zero support unlike all the other shelves, I found that the top shelf was bowing under the load I put on it with no support. Easy fix for me as I added a support bar to it at my extra cost as a diy project. Light loads should be no problem but heavy loads might be an issue for you. Read more
